Looks like some threads just disappear...

I've been following CWN's attempts to justify his defense of the soldiers sentenced for the rape and murder of Iraqi civilians, and it looks as if the thread just disappeared. I won't ask how that happened, since no one was making any headway, but I'm a little disappointed that CWN's comments don't remain there for all to see.

Cheesy, I'm glad it hasn't disappeared, because I want EVERYONE to know what kind of a person you are.

I always look at the "View Today's Posts" option, because that shows what threads are active. And I think a thread must disappear when someone is writing a response to it. Or I could just be blind.:D

Buck I believe when you use "View New Posts" it only shows thread with new activity since your last usage of it.

I could be wrong, but I think that is how that function works.

Yeah, if I'm in a hurry, I just look at new posts, but if I want to see today's active topics, I look at "today." But the rape thread was definitely NOT in the list when I made the OP. Not that it's a big thing...it could actually be a small bug in the forum program. But I have occasionally seen whole threads excised on other forums for various reasons, usually on sites that don't encourage diversity of ideas.
