Not sure if we have any true football fans out there but I decided to get a thread going for some good old off-season talk.Â*Â*
- It looks as though Baltimore will not tag Adalius Thomas.Â*Â*iF they fail to resign him he'll be a FA in a not-so-great field.Â*Â*Green Bay is allegedly very interested.
- The Raiders have let go Aaron Brooks who had a disasterous season riddled with injuries, the worst offensive line in football and lack of talent.Â*Â*Unless Oakland signs a stud FA QB, they will select JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn with their overall number one pick.
- Former Tampa Bay great Hardy Nickerson is interviewing with Lovie and the Bears as a LB coach.
- And speaking of Lovie and the Bears, they are at a stalemate with contract negotiations.Â*Â*I'm very surprised the Bears didn't get this taken care of before the SB.
- Del Rio announced today that Byron Leftwich will be the starter next year.

- Corey Dillon will be released by the Pats on March 2nd. However, instead of retiring like he had mentioned he will now be looking for a new team. If I had to guess I'd say the Jets, Bills, Browns, Ravens, Texans, Broncos, Lions and the Packers would be a likely landing spot.

Bah...football is great but I just been waaaayy too busy to deal with sports in my life. I am big into UFC and that's as far as it goes. I used to watch Football every Sunday with the buds (friends stoner not the other buds).

- Jake Plummer is reportedly considering retirement. Sources say he's still undecided but leaning that way. If he doesn't retire the Texans are a possible team that would be interested.
- LaDanian Tomlinson's father died today in a car accident. He was 71.
- The Titans are shopping around Pacman Jones and are being rumored to accept as low as a 3rd round pick.

Sad news out of the sport's world today. Bronco's RB Damien Nash collapsed and died today after a charity basketball game.
This is the second Bronco to die in a very short time.

Looks as if trade talks are in the process of sending Randy Moss to Green Bay. Raiders wanted a 1st rounder for him. Last I heard is the Packers are willing to give up either a 2nd round pick or Aaron Rodgers.

Adalius Thomas is gone:(
Will the Ravens ever be the same?

Looks as though Moss could be headed to New England. Sources say a deal could be done soon. We'll see.

Here's some more updates.
- Bears trade RB Jones to the Jets and swap draft picks.
- Dolphins release TE McMichaels and QB Harrington.
- RB Travis Henry was signed by the Broncos.
- Lance Briggs of the Bears is furious Chicago slapped him with the franchise tag and wants out now.
- Packers are talking to the Lions about a trade to send RB Tatum Bell to Green Bay. The need to fill a hole left when Green went to Texas.
- Cowboys sign QB Brad Johnson (this is a great pickup).

The Dolphins have acquired Raiders WR Porter.
This is a huge pickup for the fins. This just complicates things even more for people trying to figure out what the Raiders will do with their overall number one pick. Russell seems like the logical choice (to them...I think he's going to stink) but their O-Line was horrendous so Thomas looks ideal as well. And now with losing Porter Calvin Johnson will look tempting.
If they're smart (and they're not) they will suck it up and take the unsexy pick...Joe Thomas. He's the best lineman to come out of college in some time and will be your anchor for 12 years.

Oops. I'm so plastered I got my Porter's messed up. The Dolphins got Joey Porter...LB for the Steelers. Not the WR joey Porter from the Raiders.
I thought something was wrong when I was proof-read it. It just now clicked.
