Care to flesh this one out a bit Bobby?
I can't speak for him, but when elitists are running this country and taking their cues from big business instead of the people, it is starting to turn into it.
Seriously Boogy, when is the last time a true politician was thinking of the people before himself? When was the last time that that you saw a congress that was truly representative of the people with the people's interest (and not their own) first? They are far and few between compared to the whole.
Take a look at all the waste that is done in congress today (and in the past) and the administrations (Notice I said plural, not just republicans) that have let this happen.
Again, I don't blame the politicians as much as I blame the people of the U.S. for letting this happen by continually voting along party lines and not getting involved to hold these politicians accountable.
Thats not what I meant at all, thats a problem in every nation and I don't see that one being resolved anytime soon.
I was talking about the rising US involvement around the world since World War Two. It was never the intention of our founding fathers that we would become the world police. We are responsible for many of the anti-American views in the middle east, take Iran for instance. We support dictators who terrorize its people because its convenient for us then wonder why their people elect radical anti-Americans. We support Saddam in the 80s and then justify removing him because of things he was doing even when we supported him. Vietnam, etc.
