I am one of the biggest PF nuts. This is probably my favorite of the lesser-known Pink Floyd songs. Wish they would play this on the radio more.
David Gilmour keeps getting better with age.
And speaking of PF...they are without a doubt the benchmark and absolute authority on light shows for concerts. This video is off the Pulse DVD. Pick it up if you don't have it. Freakin awesome.

And next time you trip check out the video version of the song. Very trippy.

Sorry bout that,
1. But I saw them in the 70's.
2. They were pretty good I guess.
3. I also saw George Harrison, which was the very best concert I have ever seen.

You lucky fuck. Sadly I never had a chance to see them live.

I passed up at least 2 chances in the 80s to see them. I sure wish I hadn't. I became a bigger fan later in life.

I'm with you there. It seems the older I get the more appreciation I have for them.

When I was in college in the 70s and friend played UmmaGumma at a party and I became a big fan of Pink Floyd music from that moment onward. When I was in the army in December of 1987 I had bought a ticket to see them live in concert, but just days before the concert I got deployed to Montana for cold weather training and had to miss it. I was very disappointed but still kept the ticket. They are still my all time favorite band.
I am ashamed to say I've lost count of how many times I've seen them. Started with my husband and ended with my son, it's been that many. Seen them before the breakup and after. From flying pigs to flying pianos.
I'd have to say, Great Gig in the Sky is my favorite, if I'd have to choose one. Also don't think Animals gets as much credit as it deserves.

I liked his solo album, the one with Murder on it. Great song. Have you caught any of Roger Waters stuff? My son got me hooked on Amused to Death. Brilliant! In fact, just last week we watched the making of Dark Side of the Sun........who knew the voices were just people in the studio, that little tid bit shocked me.

I love Floyd.
For a Roger Waters solo you have to pick up the Pros and Cons of Hitchiking. Clapton is the guitarist and it is simply amazing.
My favorite Floyd record is "The Final Cut". Favorite Song, "Fletcher Memorial Home".

I think my favorite PF song of all-time would have to be Comfortably Numb. Although when we're sitting around here baked out of our minds we refer to ourselves as "Comfortably Dumb".
I'd agree with you stoner, if it wasn't overplayed.

I prefer their old stuff like More, Ummagumma, and Atom Heart Mother. Althrough I love Mometary Lapse of Reason.Â*Â*The entire body of work from Pink Floyd imho is excellent.
