This is a brand new featured section.
In an effort to encourage original content for the site we invite all users to create original essays to be posted here.??Until we figure out a system for users to have access to this without it becoming "spammy" Labrocca and myself are asking you to submit self-created articles to either one of us.??We will find a way to credit you for the creation.
We are not looking for articles; news, opinion or otherwise and your spin on the issue.??We are looking for users here to be the expert, the mover, shaker and opinion maker.??Political correctness also will not be an issue, nor will balance.??If this becomes dominated by controversial pieces all the better.
With that in mind this is not a forum that will necessarily be driven by current events.??There will be events so monumental that they will deserve space here and a well thought out writing will be entirely appropriate.
Basic guidelines for submission:
- Article must be at least 500 words long.??Think of it as writing a newspaper opinion column and not a letter to the editor.??As far as a maximum length, we're not setting one.??Just know that the longer you make it, the attention span of your Internet audience lessens.
- Spell check, edit, write and re-write your submission.??We are not going to act as editors.??If we give it the once over and you've written all in caps, broken links, no punctuation, no paragraphs etc. you will not be published.
- If you're going to quote other writings, speeches or quotes they should be linked with sources.??This is not to ensure accuracy but in an effort for us to have professional looking content that outsiders can look at and can take seriously.??Hopefully some of you will be so good that people will flock to this site to read your thoughts.
Those are the basics, as time passes we may work on submission rules or changes.??For now, like everything else here, let it fly.
