Pentti Linkola is a Finnish academic and fisherman who is described by many as an "eco-fascist." His basic theory: technology has made it easy for humanity to breed recklessly, producing low-quality people who are overpopulating the planet and aren't really worth much of anything by any sensible standard. Not surprisingly, few of his writings have been translated to English!

Every man is entitled to his opinion. He has some radical views that imho reflect a rather idealistic opinions. I think many people agree that there are too many people but the solution isn't to simply start killing ourselves off. Eventually a plague, war, or natural disaster will occur to balance the natural order of things. Or else we go to mars.

Wouldn't it be better to take affirmative action rather than wait for something to "come from above" and solve the problem at hand?
