View Full Version : Does anyone think we are in the end times
I keep hearing that on TV, and many older people keep saying it don't matter. The end of the world is coming soon, I don't think we are in the end times.
I think a new age has started, and the end will not come till there is no hope left. Even though I see a lot of bad things happen, I also a lot of good things happen as well.

Everyone has been hoping for the end of times for the past 2000 years. The christian coalition has been trying to resettle isreal and rebuild solomons temple just as long as an attempt to hurry things along.
I have a problem with people who are trashing the enviroment like its some rental car, which seem to be the same crowd promising "great things" happening soon.

Finite reality is finite, and we are going to an end of several mineral resources essential to how we live. The most serious finite resource is water. People have used underground water faster than it can be replenished, and their populations continue to grow expontenially. Mexico is shinking because of the consumption of underground water. Especially in the mid east, water is a vital international issue. We just can not continue to have expontential population growth disrespecting the limits of natural resources and availability of water.
It is not just gold, water and oil, but also copper, good coal, fertile soil,
phosphate. The US, once the world's supply of oil and metal products, is now an importing nation and the problem of balance payments and the value of the dollar will continue to be serious. Many countries peg the currency to the US dollar, and many countries depend on the US for foriegn aid. If the economy of the US falls, the world will be effected.
If our civilizations are to continue much longer, we must learn to live with finite reality and adjust our economies. If we manage this, we will see a New Age, because we resolve problems civilizations have not yet been able to resolve. If we don't resolve the problems, we will see the end. Learning to live through global warming and an Ice age, could be part of the game. Humanity was survived both in the past. The origin of the story of Adam and Eve, a Sumerian story, tells us of a previous survival of a long draught that dried up rivers and the return of water, when Eden was then cultivated, Adam.

I am sorry, but there is no way we are in the end-times yet. But the beginning of the end is coming. just look for the rapture.

IMHO we will be in on other planets long before we run out of water. Our science is advancing very quickly....just look at the past 200 years what has been accomplished.
lol..look for the rapture...yeah that's been said for the past 2000 years as well..heck it was said by the Jews for 1000+ years before that...whatever.

Try the fact that now every prophecy mentioned in the Bible has been fulfilled up to the rapture time, which begins the fulfillment of stuff in Revelations.

Notice Revelations' has an almost identical prophecy. Daniel is a book of end-times prophecies. All of the long-term prophecies are end-times prophecies. Good try though.

Populations have gotten creater than water supplies and people are going to die. Get information before spouting opinions, and check out the use of underground water for farming in the US and what is happening to this underground water supply. We will not be colonizing other planets before we have a crisis.

Global Water Shortage Looms In New Century
When most U.S. citizens think about water shortages — if they think about them at all — they think about a local problem, possibly in their town or city, maybe their state or region. We don't usually regard such problems as particularly worrisome, sharing confidence that the situation will be readily handled by investment in infrastructure, conservation, or other management strategies. Whatever water feuds arise, e.g., between Arizona and California, we expect to be resolved through negotiations or in the courtroom.
But shift from a local to a global water perspective, and the terms dramatically change. The World Bank reports that 80 countries now have water shortages that threaten health and economies while 40 percent of the world — more than 2 billion people — have no access to clean water or sanitation. In this context, we cannot expect water conflicts to always be amenably resolved.

It is not just the bible that predicts an end of times. The Mayan calculated how long it takes the earth to circle the center of the universe and that is 52,000 years. In December 2012 we will be where we were 52,000 years ago. For the Mayan 2012 is the beginning of a new galactic cycle.
Interestingly the I Ching can be worked into a graph that looks like the line of a heart monitor. In 2021 that line that goes up and down like a heart beat line, stops. A scientist who spoke about this suggest if we discover time travel, time becomes unimportant, so the line stops.
Even more interestingly, the line we get when graphing I Ching could be imagined to correspond with the ups and downs of history, and the twist and turns of the passages of the Great Pryamid of Gisa. It has been said the passages of pyramid predict different phases our history, and the pyramid itself contains information in its structure, such as pi and the distance of earth from the sun.
Several belief systems treated math as sacrid, and for sure the Egyptians did, then Pythagoras, and Qabalah. I almost forgot the Tarot. The Tarot symbol for the present is the fool. With astrology we have just entered the Age of Aquarius. Aquarius is the water carrier. Coincidentially, global warming could increase our water, and native Americans carry the prophecy of a cleansing.
It is just speculation, but I believe we are in the Resurrection. Archeologist and geologist and related sciences are being the past into the present. It is also possible that another way the Resurrection is manifest, is through reincarnation, accounting for the large number people of earth. Personally, I think we should all be participating in the Resurrection, by learning of the past and actively working towards making amends and bringing about world peace.

So math has an explanation for the accuracy of the Messianic prophecies? or the prophecy that Israel would be reinstated, or that the Jews would have plans drawn up for the rebilding of the temple? how does math have an explanation for the accuracy of the Bible.

The Great pyramid is an isocoles triangle. This is generally deduced that the engineers used an equation that involved rolling stones, and calculating block heights from the diameter of the stones, and building height as a multiplier between block height and stone rotations.
Engineering feat? Definitely. Encasing pi as a mathmatecal prophecy? The jury is still out.

Funny, I wouldn't mind them starting, but I sure as hell don't want to be here for them. I am a pre-tribber.
