View Full Version : Anyone else feel bush is a lame duck
To me it has been very clear, the bush is a lame duck and is going to get nothing done. And he know this going in, even tried to fight it at first. But then he just talks him self in deeper, he should not talk so much then may be he could get some thing done.

Yes, he's definitely a lame duck. Here's a quick list of failures since his second term started:
1) Social Security Reform
2) Harriet Myers nomination to the Supreme Court
3) Port deals to the UAE
4) Surrendering to McCain's restrictions on torture
5) Curbs to the patriot act by restricting access to library books records
6) Terri Schiavo intervention
7) Bolton nomination (which he had to sneak in while congress was in recess)
8) Revolt from his colleagues on stem cell research
9) Revolt from his colleagues on immigration reform

Of course Bush is a lame duck. All "Lame Duck" means is that at the end of this term, he cannot be re-elected.
The term Lame Duck is not an insult. Its simply a political term.
But it also means that he can be disregarded as irrelevant. This usually happens much later in a president's term like in the last six months. Two and a half years before the end of a term is a pretty long stretch to be a lame duck but then he's been a chickenhawk for a lot longer and other folks have been giving him the bird for almost as long. Oh, well.

Sorry bout that,
1. But I think its my turn to inject some truth into the Bush Bash Festival.
2. Seems his agenda is still on track, and has much to show for it.
3. Two Good men on the Supreme Court.
3.a) Maybe some other Old Liberals will either die off or retire real soon.
4. Iraq has its own Government, that is a Representative Government.
5. He and Japans Prime Minster had a Great Time at Elvis Mansion.
6. Texas has Banned Gay *Marriage*.
7. Michael Jackson is out of USA.
8. Jews are putting boot up the Arabs a$$es, Bush is steering clear of the whole thing.
9. North Korea is on the edge of total collapse, making noise to try to find some funding, Bush isn't a sucker to it.
10. Islam isn't safe, thanks to Bush, otherwise we look back at Clinton and Carter, they both were in bed with Arabs.

10. Are you saying that its a good thing that Islam isnt safe??
If you truly believe that Jews should kill Arabs, then I hate you. :D

1. I know everything about truth.
2. His Agenda should have started with him learning english.. and ended by him using it.
2. Seems his message is getting out just fine.
6. Why is this a good thing?? All people have the right to get married.
3. Homo's have no rights to marry, if they ever do more and more people will just shack up and skip the marriage, save the money, sense marriage would be so cheapened, also other types of marriages would be next.
8. Are you prejudiced against the Arabs.. careful of racism.
4. I am totally against the Arabs, unless they change, this will never change, and rightly so.
10. Are you saying that its a good thing that Islam isnt safe??
5. Yes it is a good thing Arabs don't have a free hand, and at least one Nation under Gawd is applying pressure on them.
If you truly believe that Jews should kill Arabs, then I hate you. :D
6. I can handle your hate, you bring it on, if the Jews have no other recourse other than to kill Arabs, I stand with the Jews, same goes with our Military, or any other Nation battling Arabs/Islam we are not there human targets.

Chess, trying answering this without numbrers and letters for your list.
Why are you so against gay men and lesbian women. I am sure you dont know any and if you do, it certainly is not a close knowledge of them.
In my travels over the years, I have made many friends among gays men and lesbian women and some of them are as fine a group of people as you could ever hope to find. In fact, one of them, an air force medic during the Vietnam war, treated me for the more serious of my wounds.
We became friends. Later, he went to medical school and is now a prominent thoracic surgeon in the Chicago area. And you wouldnt know he was gay for a minute.
But you seem to have a pathological hatred for a group of people who never harmed you in any way and whom you dont know. Does this sound normal to you? It probably does. But thank God, people are more tolerant than you.
So, I would love for you to explain his homophobia of yours. And please, try not to use rhetorical nonsense. And before you try to assert that I am gay......I have been married for almost 40 years, I have two grown children and hope to have grandkids soon. So please, no smart-aleck remarks. Can you do that?
Oh, by the way, besides arabs and gays, who else don't you like?

1. No thanks.

2. Everyone is hurt morally by having Homo's out of the closet.

3. Then how did you find out?
But you seem to have a pathological hatred for a group of people who never harmed you in any way and whom you dont know. Does this sound normal to you? It probably does. But thank God, people are more tolerant than you.
4. Those people would be wrong.

5. Sure I can, but I never am a smart-alack.
Oh, by the way, besides arabs and gays, who else don't you like?
6. Nope that just about covers it.
7. Being a Homo involves being a sexual deviant, this does two things:
a) Reflects Morally Badly on the Community for which these, or this person lives.
b) Does Real Harm to the Moral Fabric of the Community.
8. To accept this with open arms, intertwines this moral decay within the Normal Peoples Communities, creating a Moral Stain on everyone.

2. Everyone is hurt morally by having Homo's out of the closet.
Could you be more idiotically wrong, not EVERYONE is hurt by having Homosexuals "out of the closet".
If you persist in condemming arabs and homosexuals, you will be looking at a ban.

3. I think this is America?
4. If I want to express my views on how I see the world, that's my business.
5. You want to defend Homo's and Arabs, that's your business.
