How would you rather die given a choice. Most states have a few but not all of them with lethal injection as the chosen method if you refuse to choose.

My first choice would be a firing squad and if that wasn't available hanging.

Gas chamber and hanging involve suffication, I'd rather want to go quickly and with a full oxygen supply.Â*Â*I'm scared of needles so that's a no go (LOL). Instead of a firing squad I want a reinactment of the Godfather; I'll drive on the causeway and go like Sonny did. If not guillotine is good.

I also wouldn't mind hanging if I had to choose. The type they use breaks your neck instantly normally if they do their calculations right. My last minutes would be interesting at least, falling thru the air before your neck snaps.

Guillotine would also be interesting I heard somewhere that you brain doesn’t die instantly and you live a few seconds after your head is lopped out. You could test the theory out.

That's basically what they do, except there's a debate raging over whether they use enough anesthesia for it to be effective - there's been several executions where the condemned appears to be awake and aware (and in pain, because of the type of drugs used) during the execution. The solution seems simple enough to me: massively bump up the dosage of anesthesia. Currently, though, most states are refusing to do this, because using too much anesthesia could be bad for the soon-to-be-dead guy's health. Yeah, I know. If you figure that out, let me know.


Anyway, my own choice would be 'pitched out of an airplane without a parachute'.

The method used wouldn't be used during a surgery. I heard there was some legal issue about using a method such as co2 (or whatever is usually used for surgery), but I don't remember for certain.

I don't think those who face capital punishment should have a choice. Whether its a gunshot to the back of the head, thrown to the sharks, a slow death, etc. doesn't matter to me. So long as the condemned is dead, I really don't care.

I suspect that if I were facing execution, my whole mind would be concentrated on escape.
