Just wanted to give a brief introduction to myself and how I came to find this place.
Labrocca (Whom I've known as Defender.) and I have known one another through online message boards only for probably two years or so. When he created this I was obviously excited to be part of something new and hopefully a lot of fun.
For those of you that know my name from IGN (This would have been from 2000-2004.) or Cheap Ass Gamer please know one thing, this PittsburghAfterDark is not the same you've come to know and hate or know and love.
My role here is not to be an instigator or a bomb thrower that I have been in the past. I'm not saying we'll always get along, agree or even always be friendly to one another. That's okay, that's part of what politics is always about. Disagreement.
Even though I have the title of Administrator I assure you, that is largely ceremonial. This is not my site. I merely have the ability to edit user information on profiles, avatars, ban users and enact some changes on what language will be edited. I am not the person to ask if certain features can or will be enacted. I wouldn't know how to do it and may not even know what you're talking about.
I'm not about to lay down a bunch of rules of things you can't do and what the punishments may be. At this point we're too new for that and are just glad you've found us and registered. This community will only as good as the amount of self-control people show. If you act like adults you'll never have to worry about offending me or anyone else here and having the smack laid down on you.
The number one thing I would ask of all members?
Please refer people to us.
I'm not concerned that this site becoming too liberal, too conservative or even just plain old communist. We just want more registered users.
I've said too much as it is.
