RAVENNA, Mich. - A Michigan man who bowled his first perfect game immediately collapsed in the bowling alley and died.
Don Doane belonged to the same team at a bowling alley for 45 years.
On Oct. 16 at Ravenna Bowl, he scored a perfect 300.
As he was being congratulated by his teammates, local television reports said Doane collapsed on the floor.
The 62-year-old was taken to a local hospital but could not be saved. A medical examiner later determined that a heart attack killed Doane.

When I was growing up my parents owned a motel. We had a customer who used it as the "no tell motel" and he died riding high in the saddle. We had to call the cops who called the cornorer. Now there is the way to go!

I would say that if the choice is rolling a 300 game and dying, or rolling say a 280 game and living to tell about it, I will take living, thank you very much.
I want to live to be 110 and on my last day be able to take a mile long walk at sunset, eat a steak dinner and then die quietly in my sleep that night.
Screw this collapsing in a bowling ally of all places! :ecstatic:

Hehe...I know how you feel - I don't want to die at all, but if I do[1], I'd prefer it be in my sleep. But then, isn't that everyone's preferred way? :)
But - there is something to be said for dying doing something you love; Dale Earnhardt is one of the best examples of this - he went in the most fitting of ways (it was just too soon, is all).
[1] I plan on living forever...so far, so good

There is no use in worrying about dying...you won't even notice it..

I'm pretty sure I'll notice when I die.
I think there is nothing more sacred than the moment of one's death. This man chose a very good and honorable death. Dying during a moment of glory. Many great warriors can relate to that. Myself, I know how I will die. Old, glorious, famous and assassinated by a kid who thinks its an act of Revolution to stab an old man in the chest. My last words will be "Hahah Finally one of them got me". I know much of you will read this and say "What the hell it's impossible for this guy to know the circumstances of his death AKA to see the future" Well you don't know who I am and what I know and believe about life. Still, I love you all :)
