A year-and-a-half after the federal government eased the requirements to keep a pilot's license, an Associated Press study showed that the group most aided by the change - aging pilots - may be the one most at risk. The study, using flight data from the Federal Aviation Administration, suggests that older private pilots suffer a disproportionate number of crashes compared to younger pilots.

That is true, with age comes some downfalls: Sight, Mental Capacity, and REaction Time.
Also the reason young pilots are better in the sense of a crash is becasue they are fresh out of the academy or school and kmow what to do

They retire people from different jobs at different ages
I think it should depend on what the job is if it should be
earlier or not. Pilot, yea, I'd want to know the guy flying the
plane I was on had all his senses intact!

The FAA limit for commercial pilots is 60yrs, so if you flying for Delta or a similar company you have to retire by you 60th Birthday
