Hey everyone! I'm new here, but from the start I would like to know what people who live in Europe think about American ballistic missile defense deployed in Europe. I know it is very controversial matter so I want to see discussion.

So I start. I wonder is there anyone who bethought himself or herself that deployment of US anti-missile defense in Europe (in Poland or Czechia) is kind of breach of an obligation given by North Atlantic Alliance (that, by the way, works under pressure of Washington) to other NATO members in Europe in point of collective defense measures. As it turned out, the level of missile attack protection is not equal for diverse regions of Europe. Western European NATO members stand in lower secure than Eastern European ones. Here you are again dual standards of the US!

Besides, there is much to be argued in point of compatibility between American national ballistic missile defense and NATO's own ABMD which is to be deployed as well in the nearest future. Frankly I think NATO ABMD is mere bluff to pacify our European fears. Our leaders are just scary to say it plain, “Americans are pursuing only their goals in Europe and have no idea to defend anubody in Europe as it is!”

Now, let me know your point of view.

Sorry I don't live in EU. But welcome to the site. Are you saying you want the USA to provide MORE missiles? Is it part of the NATO agreement that all missile defense systems be perfectly even?

Also don't forget it was the Americans that pretty much saved all of EU in WWII.
