Sorry bout that,
1. But after they stole this election, which I can see it on the Democratic*s faces.
2. Will prove me out.
3. Time is on my side in this very grave a matter.
4. It will eat at some one till they spill their guts.
5. And I will look like the genius I am.
6. Stealing this election was the worst thing they ever could of done.
7. And claiming we the Republicans stole the last two Presidential Elections won't equal things out.
8. We didn't steal either one of them.

Chess, should someone call the whaaaaambulance for you? I've lost count of how many times you've claimed this stolen election crap now, yet I haven't seen a single piece of evidence put forward?

Sorry bout that,
1. But I'm laying the nest work, for the rotten egg I'm about to lay on this stolen election.
2. Some things take time to say, this is one of them.
3. Please try and be patient, you will be rewarded for doing so.

Oh come on Chess, if you've got a point just make it. Don't keep us in suspense... If Republicans cheated in elections again this year that you know about show the proof so the authorities can look into it.

I think if we stole the election, all the Republicans who lost would be howling for recounts and Rummy and Mehlman would have stuck to their guns.
Sorry, I just don't buy the "stole the election" whine. America voted and that's that.

Can you name one Republican in a major election in the last 12 years that demanded a recount becasue they feared Democrats "Stole" the election?
The Dems ar the ONLY ones who ever want to do these nasty recounts. They hardly ever get reversed! Yet, if the Dems would have lost this time we would still be counting chads!!!!!
How many recounts are going on in major elections now that the Dems won? Can you say FREAKIN none!
How many weeks did it take to prove that Bush beat Gore in 2000???? How did it divide our Nation? Is it worth it? I think not!
Republicans won for the past 12 years. Democrats did this time. No one cheated anyone! Give it a break!

Sorry bot that,
1. But Cs has it right, so far we haven't called for any recounts.
2. But there is always a first time.
3. When the leaker's come forward, then we will see about that!

Exactly! Because the right in general has sense and an understanding of fair-play. We certainly aren't happy about the outcome but we will move on with grace and put our efforts into 2008. The left is unrealistic and a certain faction of leftists believe in some vast right-wing conspiracy to steal elections, create wars, and blow up our own buildings. It's all poppycock if you ask me. There is never any hard proof of these things just conjecture.
Anyways..time to move on.

Hey CS, this is incredibly well said. The only recount that I know of is being done at the behest of a democrat candidate such as the one in Florida that ECW was talking about in another thread.

Try Dino Rossi in Washington State. He's still pissing a bitch that Democrats outsmarted him.

I didn't think this was a recount. I thought this one was a legal challenge to the outcome.
The votes were recounted three times. The first time Rossi won. The second time Rossi won. The third time Gregoire won because, in between counts, all of the provisional votes that were cast by Democrats that were not counted, were verified by Democratic workers. They went to the address of every challenged vote and re-verified every vote. The GOP did not and that was the difference in the election.
THAT'S when it became a court case. The recounts came first. The legal challenge came later but state law did not have any rules concerning what happened and there were no legal grounds from which to build a case so it was tossed out. That's when the whining began.

OK!?!?! There was ONE back in 2004 that no one really knows anything about. Ironically he won the first three times the count was done. Only on the 4th (3rd recount) did the Democrat win! I don't know what to take from that! Were teh first three times the votes were tallyed incorrect? Did the folks hand counting the votes have to figure out the "intention" of the voter? Nothing is perfect! Sometimes we have to "take one for the home team" and bow out gracefully. No one likes to lose, but when you do you should do the right thing for the American public!

I remember that one now. Isn't that the one where the democrats "found" boxes of votes after one of the recounts was completed?

You got it! Ironically, the Republican Rossi never found any boxes full of votes :)!
King County officials found the boxes that had Rossi votes in them, too. Unlike elections where Republicans are in charge, when Democrats are in charge, ALL the votes get counted.

Democrats try and say that "ALL the votes get counted", but what that really means is that "ALL the votes get counted" get counted more than once!
In Ohio you have the Democrat loser Mary Jo Kilroy calling thousands of voters in an attempt to ensure their vote counted. WHY? Give it up! The voting their is so screwed up that it will not start until AFTER Michigan kicks the crap out of Ohio State!

Surely you see an issue with Democrats going to each house and varifying each vote. How did they varify them? No one knows who I vote for except me and the big guy. Could there have been some votes that changed once a Democrat was on a front porch politley persuading a voter that "you voted for X candidate, right"?.
Again, once the votes are counted the first time and there isn't a manadatory law requiring a recount the loser should give it up!
There shouldn't be an "instant replay" atmosphere when counting votes!

Then as you conservatives are so fond of saying, it you don't like it, get the law changed. Until then nothing was done wrong.

Riddle me this batman! How can you honestly say that going door to door and soliciting votes after the fact is doing nothing wrong? If nothing else how can you prove the voter intent?

You really shouldn't post when you don't know what you are talking about. It just gives me another chance to embarass you which I will not pass up.
The votes that Democrats went out to verify were challenged provisional ballots where the signature allegedly did not match the signature on the voter roles. They still were in the original envelope with the voters name and address and party affiliation on the outside. Once the signature is verified, the ballot within is removed and placed in the ballot box with the other ballots to be counted once all the provisional ballots are in.
Democrats took all the challenged Democratic ballots out to each voter and had them resign in front of a county official and verify the ballot with ID. All perfectly legal in Washington State. The Republicans did not do this and the margin of victory came from those now legal ballots. Sucks to be stupid and lazy in Washington State.
