Another fine example of the LAPD. Why do there seem to be so many problems with that police department compared to others?

Gotta admit that doesn't look good for the LAPD if that is who was doing the beating.

The guy wasn't doing anything that would warrant that beating IMO from the video. Guess it will be a court of law that decides this one or an out of court settlement

So what led up to the arrest? Again...another video only showing what the cops HAD to do in order to arrest a suspect.

It looks like most of that went well beyond what they HAD to do. What led up to the arrest isn't important into deciding what to do once the guy is in that situation. From the situation the guy is in, I don't see why punching him in the face is necessary.

I agree. It doesn't matter what lead up to it. Police are supposed to be professionals and the man was obviously unarmed at this point. I have many friends in law enforcement and stuff like this drives them crazy.

I don't see why putting his knee on the front of the guy's neck was necessary.

Here, try this:
Have someone put his hand over your nose and mouth so you can't breath and then just lay there and do nothing for a few minutes.

Eventually survival instinct kicks in and you will being to struggle.

These officers are toast. And they should be.

Yes pirate, it DOES matter what led up to this outcome. You don't know the circumstances, you don't know what was going on and you certainly don't have the knowledge to ascertain whether or not these men were professionals.

What we have is a clip picked out of context. Over time when the investigations have been done we will have more info about what happened and an objective assessment can be made at that time.

To make a determination solely from this video is to do an injustice to ALL involved.

Just tell me boogy what circumstances would be ok for a subdued guy like that to be punched in the face. Even his partner tried to stop him from punching the guy in the face when he saw.

Elrathin, I don't know. I am going to wait and see. You will notice I am not hailing the police either. I am not a part of the jump to conclusions crowd that goes into a lather based on little or no information. You will notice that my previous comments bear this out as well.

I have to agree with Elrathin on this. I don't know what this man could have done before the arrest that would cause this kind of beating, especially since his partner was trying to stop him, Boogy.....but you may have a point, one I don't think you intentionally ment.......revenge.

My day always said that there are three sides to every story. Yours, mine, and the truth. If a cop steps over the line he should be dealt with, but we will all have to wait for the investigation on all officers and what led up to the altercation. You will never hear me defend anyone who beats the sh!t out of someone just because they can.
