It seems Ken Hovind, founder of Creation Science Evangelism and Dinosaur Adventure Land in Pensacola, not only doesn't "believe" in evolution.
He doesn't "believe" in paying his taxes either.
Pensacola evangelist and tax protester Kent Hovind winked at his wife and gave her a reassuring smile as he was led away to jail.
A 12-person jury deliberated for 2? hours on Thursday before finding the couple guilty of all counts in their tax-fraud case...
Kent Hovind, whose life's mission is to debunk evolution, says he and his employees are workers of God and therefore exempt from paying taxes. He pays his employees in cash and does not withhold their taxes or pay his share as an employer.
Faith-based thinking at it's best.

How is this guy representative of the body of believers? The word of God specifically tells believers to submit themselves to the principalities and powers by which they are governed, including the payment of taxes.
Consider Romans 13:1 and Romans 13:5-7
With this clear teaching in mind the guy is little more than a charletan who is making a mockery of those of faith.
Nice try pirate, but no cigar.

I tend to think that's par for the course with creationists and new earthers who try to claim scientific validity.

IRS: You have to pay your taxes.
Hovind:Â*Â*No, I don't.
IRS:Â*Â*Here.Â*Â*Look at the specific tax law that shows you have to pay taxes.
Hovind:Â*Â*No, I don't.
In another, related conversation...
Science Guy: Evolution is real.
Hovind: No, it isn't.
Science Guy: Here.Â*Â*Look at the scientific evidence that shows it's fact.
Hovind: No, it isn't.
See a pattern yet?
All 16 United States Intelligence Agencies: The Iraq War is producing more terrorists than we had before.
Bush: No, it isn't.
All 16 United States Intelligence Agencies: Here.Â*Â*Look at the evidence we have.
Bush: No, it isn't.
Faith-based thinking ignores reality and ignores fact.

Yet again, your assumption that you know what people of faith believe is mocking the reality of your vacuum of knowledge. People of faith are instructed to follow the leadership of their government and to pay their taxes. This case just shows that some people who say that are doing something for the cause of faith have no knowledge of what that faith demands. (Consider Romans 13:1 and Romans 13:5-7)

A true Christian gives "Ceasar what is due Ceasar", basically that means I have got to pay my taxes to my government, as well as follow all of it's laws. Just befcause one guy in Florida believes ghe can get away with it under the "seperation of church and state" idea doesn't mean faithful people do not pay taxes. Lots of people do not pay taxes and lots of people cheap on thier taxes. Not a rocket scientist, but I bet some of those are Liberals!
Now we are consiodered to be in a "Christian" nation and we are thought of as "Christian" people and guess what? Not everyone is! Since most "say" they are Christian it is only logical to say that more issues like this will come from a "Christian" than an atheist which is much smaller in relation.
Pay your taxes if you are required to do so!
