I saw that!

Very interesting.

It must be why the Obaminations are running around posting 1000 posts to discredit her. They know thisa ticket has power, real power.

You can't prop up an empty suit forever. There is only so long even the most apathetic Americans will be distracted by the fact he's part black.

Somebody should've told McCain that before he picked one as his VP... :peace:

It's the only reason he's made it this far. Blacks will vote for a black man for his skin color alone. Sad but true. If Obama was white Hillary would be the libbie nomination.

Everyone knows that is true though few are willing to admit it.

Take a look at Oprah. Her demographic is the Hillary demographic, yet she more closely identified with her race than those who have been her true partners for 20 years making her a billionaire a few times over. Well, she is now facing the wrath and that simply would not be true if Obama was the best candidate:

in your dreams, Obama took in over $8,000,000 after her speech, McCain only $1 million... you boys are gonna have to dig a lot deeper into your couches to come out with the kind of money Obama is getting.

Mod Notice: See rule 11 "All proper names of political figures should be spelled correctly. Nicknames like Hitlary or Chimpy are unacceptable. (http://www.democracyforums.com/showthread.php?t=11114)"

You have been warned about this multiple times Stripey1.

Turn about is fair play... how about all the trash talking you boys do on obama? that's ok but discussing Palin is not???

did ya see how she was whining about the media coverage of her and her record yesterday...poor baby... poor ting... gee, if she can't stand the heat on the campaign trail, maybe she should head back to the frozen tundra... where she reigns supreme...

How would you know what it's like to be popular?

Yeah, Kerry also out raised Bush by a tremendous margin. It didn't do him any good.

Slow and steady always wins the race.

I am not surprised she is more popular than all three other candidates put together because she has more executive experience than all three of those lame candidates as well. It is a sad state of affairs in US politics with regard to this election.

I don't see where Pailin is any less of an empty suit than Obama. At least Obama has the ability to write and articulate his own speeches instead of parroting someone elses words..... :unreal:

And what's with the pics on the inernet showing her 16 YO kid partying with a bottle of Captain Morgans.....where's this kids mother and where are the "values" being instilled?

The article in your link isn't even factually correct:

Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters.

As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters.

Unless the margin of error is <1% (not the case for ANY telephone poll), then they are statistically equivalent.

You, and your headline are simply wrong.

For the third time today.

What the hell are you talking about? I'm just trying to get a handle on how liberal reality filters work.

I remember beating a guy by .004 seconds in a time trial and he bitched and moaned for weeks saying that was within the AMB Transponder's MOE. He actually petitioned to take my win away! Guess what? THE WIN STOOD!

But keep playing games if it helps you sleep at night.

I'm of the mind that she is popular with the republicans because she's hot, and basic instict is what drives republicans. :peace:

She's certainly not conservative, and she certainly does not carry conservative values of personal responsibility and less government. In fact she's a pork hound and will increase taxes in a second if she wants say...... a hockey rink built........

The debates will be interesting.

The above post shows you don't have the first clue about statistics. Your mocking tone only makes your statement look more ignorant.

You are wrong. Anyone reading this who has taken a college-level statistics class knows you're wrong. A poll is not a race.

Here: educate yourself
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margin_of_error

Or keep it up and look worse and worse to those people here who know you're wrong. I'd prefer that option. :madlaugh:

You can keep playing games all you want, because we all know that sure beats focusing on reality for you. It doesn't matter if she was a point behind. No one even knew her 2 weeks ago and she is now right there.

So keep focusing on micro non-issues and continue to purposefully ignore the big picture and reality. It's what liberals do best and no doubt you will prove me right with your next post.

Like the fact that you've shown us you don't know what the term Margin of Error even means?

Like I said, your next post would prove me right and so it did. Keep holding onto your MOE and keep missing the big picture.

Let me also give you a little nugget about MOE, she could actually be 3 points ahead. Funny how all your statistical analysis left that possibility out. I wonder why? So you keep reading about statistics on Wiki and I will rely on the college classes I actually took as part of my biology degree.

It must be killing you that an unknown woman 3 weeks ago is at least dead even with your Lord and Savior. Light a candle at the shrine.

Again you show that you don't have the first clue about statistics. When two data points are statistically equivalent... they are statistically equivalent. Period. To make any further statement about resolution isn't valid. Again, you are very obviously ignorant of that fact, because you did just that. And I LOVE that you keep digging yourself a deeper hole.

BTW - I teach Physiology, Clinical Judgment and Patient Management in a graduate school, if you want to cite credentials.

But, please, go on... keep asserting the absurd. I'm loving this.

You just can't help yourself can you kiddo? You're clinging to what is insignificant (the statistical number) while once again ignoring the real issue (that Palin is essentially even) and that just cracks me up and proves my point exactly as I said you would. You are your own worst enemy and you don't even realize it.

Light another candle at the alter!

So go ahead and put one more exclamation point on my post for me, we all know you won't be able to help it.

The point of the thread is that Palain is more popular than either McCain or Obama! Seeing how she's on HIS ticket, that is a good thing for McCain!

It was Yahoo's title genius. But thanks for the one last exclamation point.

Reality: Palin, an unknown woman 3 weeks ago, is now dead even with your lord and savior. Funny how you still have refused to deal with that little gem.

Once again, liberal denial sure runs deep.

Sorry if I have a few other things to do instead of humiliating you. ;)

Let's recap.

The title and topic of the thread is "Sarah Palin More Popular than both McCain and Obama."

We've established that is wrong.
We've established that when you posted this, you had NO CLUE this was wrong.
We've seen you stop arguing against this point, because, on some level, you've realized you that it's wrong.

And yet, you still keep posting... as if reality is going to change if you post enough puerile crap. :madlaugh:

That's SOP for Republicans, lie, repeat, lie, repeat, lie, repeat...... They think if they keep saying it long enough, it'll be true. It's how they convince themselves, self delusion.

I think this thread has become a great microcosm of left wing insanity and desperation. If the shoe was on the other foot and Obama was 1 point ahead, it would be a lead as sure as day. Instead, insane partisan hacks want to argue about statistical nuance and NEVER want to discuss the big picture that a lady, unknown just 2 weeks ago, has, at a minimum, equaled their messiah. Ten million more people watched McCains speech than watched Obama's sermon and the lefties are shitting in their pants.

I think these people are so far out there when they watched Obama's speech they really believed he was coming down from Olympus, anointed to lead the people to the promised land. Either that, or they have simply smoked way too much weed and watch The Matrix one too many times.
