Predict what the outcome of the November elections will be.

OK, I'll bite. Both Republicans and Democrats will loose a few seats here and there, and the Republicans will maintain leadership by the skin of their teeth. I'll also go out on a limb and say that Independents will probably receive a record number of votes, and voter turnout in general will be very high. People are fed up with both sides.

I think the Democrats will take both, by a slight margin. People are pretty fed up. Which leaves me in a dilemma. Still can't decide if I'm going to vote for Stabenaugh or not. Not crazy about her. I think she is a media whore. I'm going to have to do more checking on her voting record and what she has done to keep the tunnel and bridges safer. The only thing going in her favor is she is doing something about stopping Canadians from bringing their trash in.Â*Â*

I think the dems will definitely take the house. The senate however will be a tight race and I don't know if they'll will come out on top. I agree with Lily, people are pretty fed up with the whole lot of Republicans up in congress. Many don't think the dems are that much better but at least there not republicans. So I'm predicting these election will be a victory for the dems and a resounding blow for the republican.

Senate - will leave the GOP in control by 1 maybe 2 seats. Tie in worst case scenario.

House - GOP in control by less than 4 seats. I believe they remain in control, but not by much at all. I don't see them losing 14+ seats and definately not the 30 that some are predicting.

I think that the GOTV will decide it all in the end.

Whichever way it goes, there will be a Dem positive spin as a win. It doesn't matter if they win 4 seats in the House or 30. They'll falsely believe that it was because people were voting for them when in fact that had nothing to do with them, but with traditional GOPers staying home or voting against the GOP.

If by that slimest of margins the Dems take the House, it will only be for 2 years. There are two seats that typically are very safe Republican that will most likely turn this year and another 2 or more that tred heavy Republican but have very weak incumbents. Those will all bounce back to the right column in '08. If it happens, it will be very temporary.

Whichever way it goes, there will be a Dem positive spin as a win.

........and if goes the opposite way, I dare say we will see the same for the Republicans.

I agree Lily! Although I believe one party will win I really would be happy if a larger volume of Americans actually voted. The country is divided and it boils down to who gets out more voters, not necassarily what is best for our country.
