Is this an example of the kind of free speech that people want?
On the news this morning was a 71 year old lady that was attacked by this mob, she wasn't hurt, but sure was angry. She said that some of the mob yelled at her, "why are Republicans all so old", then proceeded to pour what she thinks was watered down bleach on her back. Haz mat had to be called in because nobody knew for sure what the liquids were. Some of the delegates had this liquid slung in their faces, getting into their eyes.
This is disgusting & no matter where one sits on the political platform, this should be condemmed.

This has nothing to do with freedom of speech....
This has to do with people abusing the rights of another.

They're doing it the name of freedom of speech.
But, that's it? No condemming their actions?

I am always amazed at how with some people the exercise of their rights means the trashing of the rights of others.

If they are doing it in the name of Hannah Montana, would that mean Hannah Montana approves, or had ANYTHING to do with it?
I don't care what they are doing it for.... its a VIOLATION of INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS and they should be prosecuted IF RIGHTS WERE VIOLATED.
As far as condemning them..... they look like peanuts next to the criminals in the bi-partisan conventions who are speaking from the podiums.

Exactly.... those are people who don't understand what a right is in the first place.

This is an example of raticalism. Does not mean that the Democrats approve of this. It is just like Islamic people who do not follow the same practices of those who are ratical Islams.

I'm sorry, maybe I missed ANY democrat "leader" condemming these actions. I'm sure it'll come though, right? I mean, look at how they've defended a female politician lately with the abuse that's been piled on her.

You think Democrats have any say over what anarchists do?
The trouble happened not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site, and many of those involved in the more violent protest were clad in black and identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place

Oh come on NIOSA.....
Both parties are guilty as the other regarding IGNORING defense of individual rights.....
Public condemnation won't mean a thing coming from the bi-partisan hypocrites.... as if you could believe something those tools say to begin with.

That makes me feel much bette Osborn, to know that "leaders" of neither party condem this kind of stuff.
Well alrighty then, I can rest easy.
If public condemnation wouldn't help, then why is it that there's a lot of condemnation of peoples free speech in other areas?

It's not that they DON'T, but what possible ground would they have to stand on while doing so?!? It would be a criticism of THEIR OWN ACTIONS IN GOVERNMENT as well....
Like the pot, calling the kettle black.
Both parties make a LIVING taking away rights, instead of enforcing and protecting them as they are ELECTED TO DO.......

Free speech is exactly what it sounds like.... free SPEECH. That does not mean the freedom to ASSAULT others with anything other than words.
Reasonable people attack words, character, integrity and honor.
Unreasonable people attack with force, anger, hatred and intent to harm.
These people if they assaulted anyone, WERE NOT exercising free speech, they were exercising assault... and should obviously be held accountable for their actions.

They seem to have a lot to say about a 17 year old girl & her pregnancy. they seem to have a lot to say when their candidate is being attacked. they seem to have a lot to say about taking profits & redistributing them. they seem to have a lot to say about freedom of speech that disagrees with their socialist agenda.

No Migs, here's just yet another example of out of control protesters that do nothing but bring down our country. Lock them up, those that have violated the laws of the land and throw away they key.

Really? Show me where Obama "had a lot to say about the pregnancy".
Or are you meaning do as I say, not as I do? I don't remember many people here speaking out against what happened at the DNC. I remember a lot of "blame the dems" for what happened at the DNC. So maybe the Reps should man up and deal with their own problems instead of trying to blame others.

Thanks Ann, as I was reading this I was thinking that these were definitely anarchists.
It shoudnt be condoned period and is appauling, but on the other hand from I heard the likes of Dobson and Limbaugh wishing would happen at the DNC, I find it ironic.
Karma is a bitch ya know!

Who said that Obama said anything about her pregnancy?
What happened at the DNC, except about the cops strongarming a reporter that was trying to film some dems coming out of a meeting with a lobbyist?
Were dem delegates attacked?
Do you think if a bunch of David Dukes followers had attacked dem delegates that there would not be screaming from every news channel? As there should be.

Show me anyone condoning it, beyond chuckling since many reps, some here even, wished for it to happen at the DNC? But you are the one who said "dems should speak out against it" as if anarchists care what anyone says.
"The anarchists should stop what they are doing!" There... a dem has now spoken out against it. Feel better?

This is what hate filled socialist policies breed.
If nothing else, the Dems incite this behaviour.
Think about it...Bush and Republicans are a mass murderers, war/humanity criminals, genocidal maniacs, an illegal party, Hitleresque, the list goes on.
If these thugs actually believe what the left tells them, how can you blame them?
Would you have attempted to stop Hitler in 1938 if you had the chance?
Well in their minds they're just following up on the left's words.
If people say that the left is just joking when they spout this hateful rhetoric about their political opponents, I will laugh my head off.
"We were just "kiiiiidding"
Hooooo Boy!
Like it or not, the dems will be tarred with the actions of these hooligans.
Just a fact.

Rather, regular people are just fed up with the current administration, fueled by the lies, the deceit. It has nothing to do with Democrats or liberals.
Folks are out of work, have no healthcare, and are pissed because of the neglect of the environment. It's not rocket science. It's not even partisan politics. It's contempt for the reckless actions of the government, dominated by ideologues.
The same thing happened to Czarist Russia, in 1917. The failed monarchy turned a deaf ear to the cries of the people...and they were forcibly removed.
Those who don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

Too funny!
So you support anarchy and violent overthrow?
Oh well so much for democracy.
See, this is exactly what I was refering to.
This attitude is more prevalent on the left than some people want to admit.
Statements like this do very little to distance the left from the thugs in Minn.
Those who claim that these Marxist anarchists are somehow divorced from the left...please take note of aaronssong's post.
