“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,” Obama said.

1. Obama is more qualified to be President than a VP pick he says. Well... I HOPE SO! He is running to be the PRESIDENT not the VP!

2. Says his campaign has more staff and budget than Palin has ever managed. Alaska has over 24000 employees and a budget of more than $10 BILLION. That must be some campaign he is managing!

For Barack Obama to argue that he’s experienced enough to be president because he’s running for president is desperate circular logic and its laughable.

Even Hillary said that.

Obama caught without his teleprompter once again it would seem.

His own hubris is his downfall. He thinks just because his sheeple followers will believe anything he says that means he can say anything.

Errr...did you even read the original quote?

So, you're saying Obama is so stupid he doesn't know the difference between a governor and a mayor?

That's even worse. You should have left well enough alone, but by all means keep defending Obama!

Soon we will be hearing things to the ilk of 'Hey, so what if she was governor of a state, she once led a BAKE SALE, and that budget was MUCH SMALLER that Obama's campaign.'

The giant Obama lie here is that as Governor of Alaska she managed a 6.6 BILLION dollar budget, not just the budget of Wasilla. Obama must think his disciples are morons to frame his comparison this way.

No direct personal offense meant here, but hell, check out Piratemonkey's avatar. He seems to not realize she was governor of state too. The majority of Democrats, especially on this site, are stuck on the 'town' and hoping their screaming and yelling will make people forget the whole Governor of Alaska point.

The far left-wing implosion and the resulting desperation has only just begun. I for one, am stocking up on popcorn.

In point of fact, Obama and his advisors built a campaign that toppled the presumed "lock" for the Democratic nominee for president. That speaks to his organizational and management skills and his abilities to connect with people. It wasn't done in one little town or state. It was a national campaign. He's been in the United States Senate long enough to know how Congress works. He's met with foreign leaders and been warmly greeted by the populations of more than a few countries; his VP pick enhances, rather than detracts, from both his message and experiences. And his overall message, butressed by his positions, is one designed to bring people together, not drive them apart, and get the country back on track, away from the "voyage to the abyss" inflicted on us by GWB.

My only regret is that Palin will not get the chance to debate Obama.
She would not leave a scrap of meat on his bones.

by that standard, one would've expected bush to manage the budget with some semblance of competence...
