As the video mentioned, The Money Trail was a 2-part series. The First Part was regarding the Democrats and THEIR lobbyist connections. Interestingly, some of those same lobbyists "owning" GoPers, also "own" Democrats. It would seem that lobbyists also "own" Democrats despite Obama's assertions that things would change and his campaign/WH would take no money or be influenced by lobbyists. Even Ross noted that it's the "loophole" at work once again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UauvX76lxeE

To be fair Sue......Gustav wasn't as bad as expected and it was the Republican's turn for their convention. The clip was about lobbyist......I didn't see any partying going on at the actual convention. Also Minn. depends on that money.

.....but if this post was about lobbyist and I took it off topic, then my excuse is it's late and I'm confused again.

Did Obama take a break from partying (his showcase accomplishment to date) to go to NOLA and I missed it? I thought not.

You got some pictures that I'm not aware of?

You were the one making the claim......I thought there was something to it.......guess not.

Thanks anyway.

The title of the thread makes it sound like wild partying was going on at the convention, with no attention being paid to a hurricane quite a distance away.

As "proof" of this supposed transgression, we get material talking about lobbyists on both sides of the aisle. How is this related to the title of the thread? And did you miss the part on the news about the convention being cut short because of the hurricane?

The convention activities today consisted of trying to raise money for the hurricane victims.

The title of this post is an excellent example of using deciet to pander to an agenda and take advantage of a disaster. Nothing more.

Then of course even the comments on the lobbyists were selective and not representative of the story itself.

The desperation of the far-left is really starting to show.

Again we see the left attempting to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Ooooooo people partying while a hurricane hits LA. BFD.

This thread is just a low down attempt to discredit the GOP when they purposely downplayed abbreviated events planned for Monday, not to mention this "storm of the century" as some in the media were dubbing it, turned out to be a whimper instead of a bang.

Partisan hacks love to grab anything they think will provide them with an opportunity to attack the opposition on non and irrelevant issues. This was a thinly disgused emotional appeal to other cottonheaded clowns who are afraid they will miss an act in the three ring circus.
