McCain's age is a real and legitimate campaign issue in this election. However good his health may be at the moment, the incidence of health problems rises sharply once one passes the age of 70. Add to that the fact that he spent 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton being tortured, and you have a candidate who's at great risk of a serious health crisis before his term is even very far along.

When you add to that the fact that he's chosen a "female Dan Quayle" as his running mate, I think we need to ask some very probing questions about his fitness, both physical and mental, for the office.
