Don't kid yourself...In spite of the words the Clintons are using to pretend to support Obama...they want McCain to win in November.

Hillary wants to be President. Bill wants to be First Predator. If Obama wins that means one of two things will happen in 2012. Either Obama will screw up royally (my prediction)...or, he will do well..in either case, he will ether be ousted by a Republican challenger in 12...or re-elected. That puts any chance of POTUS at the least, 12 years away for the Clintons..and trust me...that, they don't want.

She wanted to be on the 08 ticket, and the thought of waiting until she's in her 70s to run again is not acceptable. She wants McCain to win...with a Democrat congress that will thwart any chance of meaningful governance on his part...and she wants to be the nominee in 2012.

Here's what she had to say about McCain's VP choice: “We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," (Hardly an enthusiastic party line statement!) LOL!

Hmmmmmm... :ponder:

Not too far from the party line, it would seem. Here's the OFFICIAL statement on the Obama/Biden campaign...

We send our congratulations to Governor Sarah Palin and her family on her designation as the republican nominee for vice president. It is yet another encouraging sign that old barriers are falling in our politics. While we obviously have differences over how best to lead this country forward, Governor Palin is an admirable person and will add a compelling new voice to this campaign.
Stop watching so much Faux News. It's rotting your brain... :dizzy:

Hillary doesn't want to be POTUS and the Clinton's don't want the White House in 2012

They want Obama in there until 2016 when their time will be done

yeah, that is it

The OFFICIAL line from Obama/Biden came AFTER Clinton had already congratulated Palin and AFTER Burton, Obama's spokesperson, had screwed up on the first official response.

That would be the re-official statement, wouldn't it? LOL

So much for Clinton's words about unity. Although everyone besides the methane-breathing libbies knew that was bullshit. Now she supports McCain. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

And yes, the official statement from Hussein Obama was that of negativity, bashing her 6 ways to Sunday. Then, after they realized the backlash it had threw their spokesman under the bus, claiming they had no idea that was being put out and changed their statement to a nicer one.

No one is fooled. Typical libbie politics.

Uh, yeah, Stone. Whatever you say. So Easy pulls something out of his nether regions and you take it as gospel truth. I guess it's really no wonder that you don't understand politics very well. Here's a whole thread built on the totally specious assumption about Hillary's desires.

The superficiality of your response--calling him "Hussein"--just seems to characterize the intellectual acumen that republicans bring to debate here. Just once--just ONCE, I'd like to see you or one of the other more vocal republicans post something that represents your own thought and reasoning. But it comes down to puerility like "Hillary wants McCain to win." No wonder so many of us liberals worry about the "party of ideas."

calling him "Hussein

It's his name. Want do you want me to call him? Garth?

What other politicians do you call by their middle name? Face it, Cons use Hussein to try and insinuate Obama is a Muslim. Sorry everyone in America is already aware of that lying tactic and it has been debunked many many times.

LOL! So, his name is Barack Husein Obama...and your story is, using it is an attempt to insinuate he's Muslim? You're kidding...right? What the hell are you smoking?

When someone uses Hussein Obama instead of using his first name Barack first or just saying Obama, yes someone is trying to emphasize the "Hussein" part of the name. DUH.

I love how Cons like to act innocent when they emphasize the Hussein part of his name.

The same Cons aren't going around saying "Sidney McCain" so why use Hussein Obama?

I find this very sad.

In another thread (http://democracyforums.com/showthread.php?t=17483), Buck, a Democrat congratulated Senator Sidney McCain on reducing the GOP convention due to Gustav. He didn't speculate that he (Sidney McCain) was doing this to gain some kind of advantage. He outright said it was a class act.

On the other hand, a seemingly generous comment by Senator Clinton is proof that she's undermining her own party's nomination for selfish reasons.

Sometimes nice things are just that - nice things.

Speaking as an outsider, I just don't get the absolute level of hatred, mistrust, and ugly bipartisanship in your country.

Comparing you to chopped liver is an insult to chopped liver. :) I kid, I kid.

I'm sorry, did I forget you? Did you say something nice about a democrat at some point? Well, other than JFK? I mean, within the last 30 years? :)

Nice to see you dragged your Canuck ass back here for a visit.

Always a distinct pleasure.

Right back at you!

I've been around. Mostly sticking to the science stuff since as it's my background. US politics at this time is too crazy and the way you guys (Republicans and Democrats and now Libertarians) go at each other makes my head spin.

Sometimes I think you hate each other more than the growing list of US enemies and detractors. Have a happy Labor Day! (In your honour, I used the American spelling of Labour - ain't I grand? :))

I Loved that!

Their fist volley at Palin, was to attack her "EXPERIENCE"! (:lmao: Smart! Fcuking brilliant!). Fearing McCain might pick up on the obvious hypocrisy of that statement coming from the Obama camp, Obama issued his "STFU" edict, then followed with that contrite dribble.

I'll assume that Obama cleared those statements with Hillary, seeing how they are very close to hers which were issued first. Obama wouldn't blatantly plagiarize again, would he?

Was Senator Sidney McCain being an asshole when he complimented (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080828/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_mccain_ad) Senator Obama on winning the Democratic ticket near the anniversary of Martin Luther King's speech? Remember, he did this after criticizing his inexperience. (http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/2008-05-19-3184266611_x.htm)

If it's different, why is it different? Just because one is a Republican and one is a Democrat?

Of course she wants McCain to win! She also expects McCain to do a banged up job his first term. But this is a long shot. Too many 'if's' and now with the Palin factor who knows, way too early for predictions. I would not want to be Clinton, with her luck, McCain will win, do a great job, get ill, Palin take over, and Hillary looses again lol!

You could be right about that, but at any rate, it will not be a Republican in the big chair. In fact Obama will need to have the Oval Office fumigated and washed down to remove the slime that Bush and his lackeys left behind.
