Well I decided that to celebrate my 100th post I would post links to my 3 published articles. I've had the job at the site for just over a month, its unpaid but its good experiance and it gets my name on the web.

(my first article)
http://www.dailymusicguide.com/Reviews/adventure_album_review_carpark_04082008_1440.aspx

(second - the editor actually changed some of my spelling believing I had spelt the word wrong when they were correct. Great effort)
http://www.dailymusicguide.com/Reviews/david_holmes_canderblinks_mercury_07082008_2123.as px

(third - if you would be so kind, could you find the song and listen on youtube while you read, because I gave it 5/5 and would like to see if you agree)
http://www.dailymusicguide.com/Reviews/go_audio_she_left_me_single_review_epic_21082008_2 024.aspx

...and I have just this past hour submitted my fourth, my review of Slipknot's new album.

Enjoy!

Good song.

I think it's a 4/5 but it's still a good song. I liked the ping-pong clip/part the best. Brought the song home for me.

Thanks for taking the time to read them through.

She Left Me just really ticked me pickle. I tried to be unbiased but its so damned catchy, and it's homegrown British talent. :)

Comrade, can you go to this thread and answer my questions please?

You are from England, and I really am curious about a few things there.....

I read all your reviews - pretty good stuff! Terrific use of creativity and analogies - always critical to a quality music review. Your David Holmes review literally inspired me to want to get the song.

I liked the Go:Audio song, and thought your review was pretty accurate; IMO, the lyrics might be a bit too "wordy", but the words that are there are well-suited for a teenage audience - hip, irreverent, and fun. The band itself kept it tight throughout the entire song - excellent.

All in all, good stuff, Comrade, and good luck to you - hope it's the beginning of something even bigger for you.
