I went to the Harvard Book Store today and, when I looked at their bestseller section, I saw Salman Rushdie's new book "The Enchantress of Florence" and it said "signed by the author" on it. Now I don't read a lot of non-fiction books, and I really have no interest in Salman Rushdie. At the same I have a love of all things autographed and the man is an extremely famous author. So I bought it. It was only $20, so it's not like it really matters in the end, but still. I'm left with a book that I don't want to read, by an author I don't care about it, using money I could have spent elsewhere.

I also don't really know why I'm posting this. I think it's just because the book is on my desk, right in front of me, almost as if to say "ha ha!".

Don't know why you are posting but I am posting to let my subconscious work out two articles about why demographic predictions are not working out and what that means politically. Worse yet I don't even get paid for the articles write if you want to talk about a waste of time and money.

Why don't you just not smoke for a day and then send all the food you normally eat after smoking pot to Obama's brother. He could eat for years LOL.
