Interesting explanation via NASA video. (http://videos.howstuffworks.com/nasa/13582-does-our-solar-system-have-boundaries-video.htm)

Yeah, the boundary is the limits of the Sun's influence. All I can say is, we seem to have come a long way in the last few years. Not so long ago we were taught there were only 9 planets, and Pluto still had full planet credentials. ;)

Interesting...probably belongs in the "nature, health and science" category...not "off topic." Or, if you lefties want to assert that we have a solar system boundary "crisis" because of Bush...maybe it could be in one of the "I hate Bush" "conspiracy" type threads....

No because in a few dacades they will have ALL DIED because humans are EVIL planet DESTROYING industrialist monsters that are causing GLOBAL WARMING.
In seriously though, I love all the space stuff. Considered doing it at university for a while, until I realized I am appauling at physics...but I can quite easily grasp the newest theories about the creation and death of Black Holes and the creation of the Big Bang...I guess its what you're interested in.
Don't let Physics scare you Comrade. If you can plug stuff into a formula and come out with an answer, you can do physics. Remembering the formula? Well, for me that's the tough part.

Yeah same for me; I can understand the input, output and concept, but the formulas and how you get the output from the input just mystifies me. I hold no stock with numbers and symbols I'm afraid.
