They have put their home up for sale, and are going to a retirement center with assisted living and a rest home. Her health is deteriorating, and she cannot keep up with the house and all any more.
She asked me to tell all of you thank you for having her here. She regretfully says she just doesn't have the "ooomph" to keep up here any more, and she is only going to use her laptop for emails with her kids and grandkids when she has the strength to do so.
We are very sorry to see them move away; they are dear friends. Please keep her in thoughts and prayers.
This last diagnosis -- lymphoma -- is awfully hard on her, and it is Stage 4. She's going in Monday for her first round of chemo and I'm afraid this is going to be a long haul for her. Her chances are not good, given her diabetes and age and all.
We can only pray. Aidie said she appreciates all of you and her time here was enjoyable.
Thank you all for making her so welcome here. I'll try to keep you all updated.
Very sad purrs, :sadly:

Who was Aidie?

Stoner, you were away, she is my next-door neighbor and my friend who joined here. I love her very much.

Thank you all for your kind and loving thoughts. It hurts so to lose a good neighbor as she. I am so worried about her. She doesn't look good. Today she was trying to weed her flowerbed, and she got so weak she couldn't get back up and called for me. I ran over there and helped her up (I was outside on the deck and she knew I was there) and got her inside. I parked her on the couch with a back rub, and I took care of the weeds in her flowerbed.

Losing her as a neighbor and maybe losing her forever to cancer.....I cannot think about that without crying. I'm scared, okay? I'm doing everything I can for her and her hubby in their last days here. They have a great offer on the house today, and are dealing with that.

She has been such a big part of my life since we moved in. Dammit!!
I better shut up before I start bawling again.
Thank you all.
Very sad purrs, if any,
Pookie
