New music...

...After hearing samples from the new Slipknot album (which looks to be my favorite of 2008) it got me thinking...

Whay do you guys think is the best new music (stuff from 2008)? It can be either new musicians or just new material from older bands...but what is the best of 2008 so far, and is this a year to remember music-wise?

Where/when was it you saw them?

There are 90 second clips of all but one of their new songs on youtube, just look for them. Snuff is awesome (acoustic ballad though) but I can't remember the names of the rest. All are magic though.

It was at the State Theater. It was the sickest show I've ever seen. Slipknot headlined. Opening for them was Lamb of God (my favorite current metal band) and opening for them was Shadow's Fall (a bad-ass band out of Boston).

They are coming out with their new album soon, "The Fathomless Mastery".

As for that matter, they made a DvD Called the Wacken Carnage of their past stuff.
