We are getting ready here. I'm right on Tampa Bay. Got all the steel shutters laid out, patio cleared, boat in the garage, 50 gallons of gas for the generator, all the cars gassed, plenty of food, water, and supplies.
Hopefully it will be nothing but a practice run.

I just moved from Clearwater (although my business is still there). Just got off the phone with one of my employees. Poor dude spent all day boarding up windows and transferring items and paperwork to safe locations. Then he had to go get his house ready.
I live close to Daytona Beach now so we may end up getting some minor wind and heavy rain if it skims up the coast near Tampa Bay.
Good luck and stay safe! If weather turns foul I'll be in the closet clambaking.

Good luck xLIBREx, sounds like you are ready. Its actually got a good chance of affecting us here in Ohio, but nothing like it will affect the coast of course, probably just rain here. (though that alone causes enough problems here)
Keep your powder dry!

Libre, keep the faith. Gore has assured that global warming is real which is supposed to reduce the severity of hurricanes. Yes, I know that a few years ago it was supposed to increase hurricane severity but this time they have got it right or so they say. I know how comforting you will find this news.

Al Gore finally realizes global warming was a farce. He was not pleased.

I'm in Miami and so far we have no school tommorow. I'm missing out on making money damn you Fay! I think Tampa will probably get the worst of it. Just hope for the best Stoner.

Howdy neighbor. I've got two houses to look after at the moment, one in westchase and one in carrollwood. Glad to be a little farther from the water, and glad to have a brand new roof.

It's much more fun to panic in safety than to be rock for your wife and kids.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Just found out I have to go to Clearwater tonight. Can't leave until shortly after midnight. This is going to suck. May want to be sober for this trip.
I'm hoping the Gandy, Frankenstein or CCC is going to be open. If not I'll have to take the Veterans down to Tampa Rd. Should be ok. I don't believe the storm will hit until Wednesday afternoon.

If you have to evacuate please for the love of god TAKE YOUR GUNS, that way you will still own them when you return.

Last word I had was that Fay is now expected to evacuate over Jacksonville, which means I can't. Medical personnel like my wife are among the last people permitted to evacuate and she is unable to follow the FIDO principle in a bugout. By the time I get her head extracted, packed and ready to ignore the deaders on the road I-10 will be closed and 95 will be very chancy. C'est la Mort if that's the case.

Well the good news is I don't have to go to Tampa Bay tonight. Bad news is it's heading for where I'm currently at. We get a lot of tornados around here.
It's all good. I have the one-footer out. It repels evil.

Well if Fay heads north after getting to the Atlantic there might be a NY and New England hurricane. That could have an effect on the election.
I didn't do much prep. I live in POLK, so I got rained on a bunch.

I will bet you will be on the edge of your seat for a while, good luck to you and you wife William!Thank you. It has so far just knocked down small branches. It came ashore south of us but tomorrow is make or break as far as trees being uprooted due to supersaturation of soil with rain. Beach erosion has probably undermined some south Ponte Vedra mansions and the St.Augustine seawall was overtopped. We may have to self insure starting next July.
