Possible Idea?

Would it be possible to have news feeds on this site, like the news bot on PSPF? It would be cool to be able to read about political news and discuss it on the same site.

Yah, I think hes trying to do something like this with the GoogleBot and MSNBot.

No, they are there so auto add pages to their search engines, the searchbots are "guest-like" users which scan through the site looking for new pages.

It's extremely unusual for sites to have news articles linked inside a forum site.

Democraticunderground.com doesn't do it except by providing a link of news articles posted by users in their forums.Â*Â*It's not like an RSS feed.Â*Â*Free Republic is constantly updated by users to the point where it's practically a news compilation service like Drudge as much as a discussion forum.

Not knowing how RSS can be integrated into websites I can't imagine it's easy to do.Â*Â*Unless you have an RSS capable browser like Safari you'd be shocked at just how few major sites actually use it.Â*Â*I know I was when I upgraded to Tiger a couple months ago.

Another Idea I've had is to require people to put [NEWS] before the title of the article they are posting. This wouldn't be necesary, but it would make things a lot easier.
