View Full Version : My last grandmother died
I know that's weird phrasing, but I had two blood gma's and one step. We weren't close, but she still has a place in my heart.
And since my 'real' g'mas died, she was the one I had left, you know?

So sorry Mia. My kids lost their real granny in January 2007 and their step granny in September of 2007. My mom died before any of them were born so to them they were their only grannies.

Sorry to hear she died. I know you said you weren't that close, but everyone we know plays a role in making us who we are. Whatever else, you can be thankful she helped create the wonderful person you are now.
Thank you, everyone. She was a good woman. 9 kids of her own, a bazillion grandkids, and she didn't care if you were step or foster or whatever, everyone was the same and in her circle.
There are not many people like her. And she gave me a good stepmom. I will miss her, which makes no sense as I haven't even spoken to her for a couple of years!
I want to call my step-aunt, but she's kind of irrational in times like these. I bet she's already accusing people of killing her for her money (as she did when her father died) and now that it will be divided among the kids - the bloodbath will begin.
It is sick and I'm glad I'm not in it. I feel sorry for my stepmom and the stepuncle that is not part of their 'crap' thinking. They are going to go through a nightmare and end up giving it all away to keep the peace.
My sisters will have to deal with this mess too.

I never met my Grandmothers, it might have been nice I dunno, but my wife is a loving granny of eight, I would like to think my grannies would be like her.
