Obama is going to announce to his supporters first......in this day and age, when almost every Presidential candidate announced they were running on the Tonight Show or a show just like it.....this seems like a step up. If McCain knew how to use a computer, he might do it too..

He's just letting them know first.........I'm sure there is a reporter or one of Obama's email supporters that will tell a reporter who he picks.......no one is going to have to give them their email address to find out.

Would you agree that a working universal health care plan in a nation would be fairly indicative that that nation is a bit further left on the political scale than either the United States, or Obama himself? Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single European nation that doesn't offer better health care to its citizens at a lower cost.

If that's not satisfactory to you, then perhaps you can suggest one.

Not being a polymath myself, I will need to do a bit of research, because I can't get beyond Brown, Sarkozy and Merkel --oh, and Putin--off the top of my head.

I've been on Obama's mailing list since Feb 2007, and I've certainly gotten a lot of information from there. It's spam only if you don't want it. I have limited them to sending mail to only one of my email addresses. It's my personal address that I don't give out to anyone. I get almost no spam on it and certainly none where some spammer picked up my name from Obama's list.
