I heard this on NPR's car talk today and thought it was a good, and funny, question:
"Do two people who don't know what they are talking about know more or less than one person who doesn't know what they're talking about? "

I dunno the answer to that, but I'm pretty sure I've met some people on line who know less than everybody else put together doesn't know. :innocent:

ROFL! Ok, that is indeed a good one.

That's just stupid.
Is this the show with Click and Clack?

Ya. I listen to it sometimes. I didn't know anything about cars when I started and, over a year later, I can proudly admit that I still know nothing about cars. :D

lol Zo... at least you can admit it.

Heh, the only thing I can do with a car is refill the windshield wiper fluid and install radio's into newer, easy cars, such as my civic. The only reason I figured out the radio one was because I was cheap and thought "I can't wreck the car by playing around with the dash, and if I screw up I'll just have to pay the guy the 75 bucks that I would have had to pay if I just brought it to the shop anyway, so it's worth a shot".
Can't change headlights (tried that a few months ago), wiper blades or the other supposedly easy things though. :lmao:

Frankly, I listen to them sometimes when we are driving. It is fun to listen to them lambaste people for how dumb they are. ;)

Have you checked your blinker fluid lately, Zo?
Actually I like that show.
They do crack me up sometimes.
I remember a guy having a question..."I'm an American living in France with my girl friend and she tells me that I should down shift my Renault into a stop instead of just putting in the clutch and braking to a stop, what should I do?"
Their answere went something like this..."Dude, you're living in France, driving a Renault and your girlfriend is telling you how to drive...it doesn't really matter what you do, your life is over."
LOL

I think I must have been listening ever since they were on NPR's "Weekend Edition" about 25 years ago. I really enjoy those guys. They give good advice, too.

Actually MORE. Simple math, and law of probability.
Where you really get in to trouble is listening to radio talk shows!

Yeah, replacing that halogen fluid is tough sometimes. :madlaugh:

Actually, it's pretty easy to do with chlorine, but that damned fluorine keeps getting away.

Since both of those are chemically related to Iodine, you could use it as a substitute, but red headlights would be freaky. :D

Cops could use them, but bromine would provide a brighter color.

Deep, Philosophical Question
Zo, I can't imagine why you considered this a philosophical question instead of a scientific one.....you have ample opportunity to test it empirically just by reviewing the threads on this board.....

Two wrongs don't make a right they say. I would surmise that two people would find themselves going farther off the beaten track than one person since two misguided minds are working together as a team :D

Not entirely though. One guy who doesn't know what he's talking about may doubt himself, but two people may reinforce their own idiocy and become even bigger idiots.

Oh sure, make fun of me for not being able to change a headlight. :sadly:
Now where to I get this "halogen fluid"?
