I’m sure Bush didn’t realize it, nor do most Americans, but Iraq worked out in our favor. It was a war based on lies and deceit, the motive was profits for big oil and Haliberton plus revenge for Saddams attempt on Bushes dads life.
But…the terrorist fell for the trap. Al Qaeda was drawn into our battlefeild, they used up their suicide bombers and resources against our military on Iraqi soil, better than using those same bombers and resources on our soil against civilians.
Iraq turned out to be nothing more that a detonation tank for suicide bombers plus it exposed Al Qaedas terrorist to our air force, where we where able to virtually wipe them out, something that would be impossible on our homeland.
Now, just imagine if we didn’t invade Iraq, just imagine those same number of suicide bombers going off on our soil, how many millions of American would have died?
So was the war wrong, immoral and illegal?…yup
Did the war save millions of American lives?..yup
So sometimes the ends justifies the means and this just may be one of those cases, dog eats dog as they say.
