Just wondering if any of you have had your 15 minutes of fame or have brushed up against fame? I am not talking about going to a book signing, or meeting a celebrity at an event...

Examples:

I was on TV

I grew up with someone famous

I have a freind or relative who is famous

I dated someone famous

I invented something

I wrote something that became popular

I was in a movie

I have a few....My dad was a naval aviator and was stationed on Whidby Island (seattle area) and he befreinded the family that was depicted in "Yours, mine and ours" starting Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball. I played with some of their children as a youngster.

I also went to school (4th-7th) with Peter Ostrum in Shaker Heights Ohio. Peter played "Charlie" in Charlie and the chocolate Factory. He went to Germany to shoot the film in 5th grade I think...he is now a Veterinarian in New York I believe.

My dad also flew for Arnold Palmer the golfer for a year or so before he learned to fly his own jets...got to meet him a few times.

My wife and I were on a local TV station for Jerry Lewis telethon with a foster child we had at the time, he was mentally challenged and MD.

When I was in college at Kent State my dorm had a free concert on the patio outside the back of the dorm. There were maybe 30-40 people curious about this new group which sucked so bad we closed our windows and turned on some Skynard. The group....Devo

When I was a kid in Shaker Heights, Ohio...Paul Neumans mother lived across the street from us...he never came to visit in the four years we lived there

I worked with a guy who boxed in the Olymoics in the 1970's..."Slammin Sammy Nesmith", hands the size of melons and strong as hell.

In Atlanta I worked with New England Patriots Troy Brown's half brother.

In Cleveland I had a hippy named Keving manning working at my gas station...his brother was Cleveland Indians centerfielder Rick Manning. He and Wayne Garland, a pitcher, used to hang out there.

A friend of mine here in Atlantas cousin was the original "April" in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie.

My name is Gump, Forrest Gump...anyone else have any?
