So you are going to protest by voting for the lesser of 5 evils? Great plan.
I don't see you posting anything positive about any of the other candidates and their qualifications either. If the third through the fith partys are nothing but protest votes for people as flawed as the first two, what have you really accomplished?

Absolutely but I see the third party alternatives as even more evil. So it still is a case of the lesser of the evils. Your just upset your evil party is not even a serious consideration! :madlaugh:

It boils down to....a vote for anybody other than Obama is a vote for McCain, just like a vote for Nader was a vote for Bush.
Better off making your vote count rather than living in a fantasy that Peter Pan is gonna win, let's be real here, it comes down to simple math.
This is exactly why we have a drunken retard as president.

Perhaps its not the parties that are the problem but the system which creates them, or even more importantly, the decadent mentality that allows for such a system to operate and even supports it! See this for more information (www.corrupt.org/news/the_illusion_of_democracy_exposed)

moses2792796Is this what Americans call freedom? It's what we call "democracy" no wonder the Iraqis and others hare resisting it, it's based on a system of whoever has the most money and lies takes all. The principle is something like king on the mountain, grab as much money, power and land as humanly possible and deprive others of any opportunity to do the same. It's also based on the masochistic principle of watching the poor suffer and feeling superior to all. neat system heh?

Its relieving to know that some people see through the lies of the times. I like to put it like this, democracy is the worst ever form of government, even worse than the most brutal of the modern dictatorships, simply because the destructive force of democracy has the support of its entire population behind it, making it virtually unstoppable until it has reached that point when it can no longer support itself. Dictatorships (when they fail), because their negative effects are evident from the outset tend to be shortlived, whereas democracy (and to a lesser extent communism) has been gradually eroding Tradition since its modern realisation, consuming without purpose or restraint in what is practically an all out war on the Earth and humanity and it has such a devious character that people see it as the ultimate moral good in the modern world. I have dealt with this subject in this thread (http://www.democracyforums.com/showthread.php?t=16167[u)

moses2792796the destructive force of democracy has the support of its entire population Not true, it has the support of the wealthiest and the corrupt. In our system, the common man and the poor have lost their voice. Corporate America and big oil govern our society and establish policies, the majority live with what they deal us, in a way it's like a dictatorship.

Bad choice of words on my part, democracy has the support of the majority of its population, have no illusions about this fact. It is the wealthy who have power, but they are clever enough to trick the masses into believing they are ruling themselves.

No that is fallacy! Right now we can only get a REP or DEM for prez right?
The system is rigged for this out come (But you're free to vote for whom ever you want!?!?)
But say we get a new party in. Once that happens America will be confident that
we CAN vote for the "BEST" candidate ! We would then vote out any corrupt
party/candidate and vote for the good candidates !!!!
BUT AS OF NOW!! We can ONLY expect a REP or DEMS!!! Catch 22 , Lesser of Two Evils,
The Status Quo....
We KNOW WHAT THE REPS&DEMS will do when in power !! Why do we support that !
It obvious that most Americans can reason too well, but I'll try to make it simple.
If you and your annoying neighbor were the CEO & VP of a company (and you both
sucked at your job) but you KNOW that you will never be fired just demoted from CEO
to VP, and in 4yrs you could get promoted back to CEO. Do you think you would you
have a burning desire to do an outstanding job/get better or just make sure you do a
little better than the other guy?
Now if the board members came to you and the VP and said here's Ralph & Paul they
will be taking over your spots and you two are fired, but in 4 year if either
of you have better plans then Ralph and Paul you can get re-hired!
Don't you think you (The board members and stock holders) will get better work from
every one competing for the CEO&VP spot???
The REPS&DEMS CAN NOT boast about there "PRO's" the can only point out why the "CON's"

This is exactly correct. This is why you see so many people parroting the exact same views. They haven't taken the time to think things through on thier own, and instead, just regurgitate the pundits talking points.

I agree but I have seen many people when exposed to the truth they become inclined to
not be fooled by the same old lies and deceptions thus more inclined to vote out the
crooks that have been screwing them over for their entire lives!

Well if you oeprated politics in an absolute theoretical vacuum, this would make sense.
But in the real world, there are no parties with unified agendas. There are only coalitions of groups looking for the best way to get part of their agendas enacted or recognized.
If you look at any Democratic system in operation anywhere, you will find a majority coalition and a minority coalition. Some of these, in paralmentary systems, form after elections are held. In this country they are formed, usually, prior to elections being held.
What you are looking for won't ever be a reality in any human based system of government. Human nature just doesn't possess the capability of uniform interpretation of facts that it would require.

Why do you make excuses for politicians ! There are Laws and Rules THEY must follow
them TOO !!! If politicians KNOW that they will always be the one enforcing the rules they
are held to, they can not enforce them and won't get in trouble....

If we were inclined to oust any and all parties that become too corrupt or too inefficient
at governing America, all forth coming parties would know they have to produce or they will
be ousted too! As it stands now We get to go back and forth (Ad nauseam) between
Tweedle dumb and Tweetle Dumber!!! You still don't see a need for major departure from
the Status Quo in US politics?
What you are looking for won't ever be a reality in any human based system of government. Human nature just doesn't possess the capability of uniform interpretation of facts that it would require.
I disagree!
Most humans are not smart enough to tell the difference between Common Sense and
Prefect Sense! But theirs a big difference!
I our current "HUMAN SYSTEM" many people do have the capability of uniform interpretation
of facts and that's how great things get done! Your cell phone doesn't work because engineers have different interpretations of the Physics behind Radio theory! The
Temperature of the sun does not depend on what is your political belief. The latest surgical
procedures aren't invalidated because not all the surgeons performing the surgery are not
all LIBS or are not all CONS!
I think what you are getting at is that Americans go off on so many tangents that we can
not converge on enough similarities to unit. That might be true (I think it is true). I this case
I think the only thing that will allow us to unit would be to go back to basics ! Start with
the Fundamentals and then move forward in a far more intelligent and truthful manner.
But that is more theoretical, and right now we have a big problem with our politicians
running a muck and no held accountable ! The best solution for that is to kick them out!
Vote Nader!
