I believe God doesn't exist as a being, but as an idea. Therefore, God has no gender.

I don't believe in a god, but if I did I don't think it would have a penis nor a vagina....

God is the stuff of the universe, neither male nor female. Life force, gravity, etc. are not male and female. It is our human minds that imagines a divine realm not so different from the one we experience, but God is beyond our experience, and we should not try to make a God in our image.

Why would god need a penis? Vagina? Breasts? Hair? What would god do with toenails or a nose?

As I come back to this question, I think it is excellent for a God to have female qualities. This is better than a male war God such as the God of David in the bible.

My goddess is Lady Liberty, and Mother Earth. And She is greater than anything. http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Liberty-Giclee-Print-C10116511.jpeg http://pub.hellados.ru/userpics/femme/artsig_mother_earth.jpg

That is a pretty modern picture of Mother Earth.Â*Â*I am totally in favor of the Mother Earth goddess who predates the male gods I believe.Â*Â*Later goddess were often pictured with their son, Demeter and son (Greek), Isis and son (Egyptian), Mother Mary and Jesus (Catholic).Â*Â*

In the past when people wrote of their country, they often refered to their country in the female gender, and the idea of civic duty is related to this relationship.Â*Â*Our technological society is hurting for this lack of the feminine aspect in our culturals, that sets a tone for how we related to our country and fellow man.Â*Â*It seems women's liberation killed the last of femininity in our culture and unleashed the masculine, unchecked by the feminine.Â*Â*I think this is a problem when you have a Father, Son and Holy Ghost and drop Mother Mary, as the protestant religions have done.Â*Â*

The Statue of Liberty, Lady of Justice, and Spirit of America are the 3 apsects of Athena, Athens patron goddess of Liberty, Justice and Defense of those who stand for liberty and justice.Â*Â* Without the feminine, I don't think our democracy is doing so well.Â*Â*Too much the pride of the US is personal afluence and military might, not the caring and sharing that the feminine aspect brings to a culture.Â*Â*
