The term "paddy wagon" was from new York where they used horse drawn wagons to collect the drunks from the street at night. The perception being of course that the majority of them were Irish.
And while this term was still predominate in the 70s and 80s, I see it and hear it much less now.

I am SOOOooo disappointed about that, too. All the books I had around in the early days of the space age said that the Great Wall would be visible from the moon.
Do we have any NASA types among us who can give us an intelligent estimate of what human features on earth might bee seen from space?
