How do you guys think Bush is doing honestly. I am a hardcore Republican but even I have doubted his abilities at times.

At times, I have to say, he could have made better choices.. But overall for the situation he came to office with, he's doing better than most would it seems.. I don't think we have much to complain about. I am directly connected to this in a way, as someone close to me is over there right now with the military. It's not that I don't want him back, but he's there to do a job and I say don't send him home until that job is finished. And as far as the war effort goes, that's where I stand...

Bush is ok on someitmes, then gets stupid on sometimes. He even wiretapped on citizens contaacting Iraq or reading emails and other contacts that were sent or from Iraq, without the approval, he says he has the power to do it.

His approval ratings are around 36% (even confirmed by Fox News). That means that even if the 49% of the population that didn't vote for him still don't like him, that leaves another 13% of republicans and/or independents that lost favorability with him. He and Cheney have become a liability for the republican party, and potential GOP candidates are nervous. Look at Kean in NJ - he showed up at his fundraiser 15 minutes AFTER Cheney was done talking and left for the evening. Not a good sign. Unless the GOP use those wedge issues such as gay rights, abortion, and religion in schools to take attention away from them, they'll be in trouble this year.

Bush's ratings during the elections were probably around 55%.
Bush seems to want to ride his time out, not really doping much of anything. He does keep trying to stay out of trouble, but always says some thing dumb sooner or later.
The biggest problem that I see, is that the dems keep bush defending him self. Then bush keeps saying dumb stuff, so the dems just keep it up.

I cannot believe that people completely trust the media, and the information that they give us. It is obvious to everyone who is conservative that the majority of media in the U.S. put a very liberal spin on everything. Who are the ones answering these approval polls? Is it perhaps that they are done in big cities like New York and California where the population is overwhelmingly liberal. So, therefore these ratings are very inaccurate. It seems to me that they think that if they tell us how bad President Bush is, and that the majority feels that way, then we should to. I for one believe President Bush has been, and will be considered in the future a great President. Unfortunately people will not be able to recognize this for years to come, because of the ignorance of americans, and thier trust in the media.
