With the approach of the local elections in our native Georgia I should say that European independent media is seriously alarmed by the situation inside the country. There cming info from Georgia that now most money, that Western Funds and NGOs give to Georgian authorities in order to organize struggle against corruption, organized crimes and ethnic strife, in fact, are wasting for bribery of internal opposition forces on the eve of forthcoming elections in Georgia.
The major burden of responsibility is on the America being the main sponsor of Young Georgian democracy. They have allocated $14 bln to keep afloat the pending elections. They should keep an eye on the sum. The hearsay among freelances here is that is that Saakashvili’s going to establish tough control over Georgian Independent media to influence public opinion or for initiating various provocations in our ethnic regions (such as Kvemo Kartli or Smtskhe-Javakheti) in order to win these elections by all manner of means. Soros is very helpful. As it has been known from our independent sources, Soros’ Open Society Georgia Foundation presents falsified ratings of local candidates, using such TV channels as “Rustavi-2”, “Mze” and “Public Television”.
