It's simplistic, but it describes one layer of the cake very well. I suggest posting this on http://bbs.freetalklive.com for comments. Some of the people there are educators and could therefore probably provide better feedback in terms of anylizing it's idea conveying powers. IMHO, it looks good to me, but check with the experts.
