I’m sure nobody can deny that lately the growth of illegal Muslim immigration in Europe has led to spreading popularity of nationalist ideas in our society. And as a result of it Europe has not only faced the growth of fanatically violent Muslim groups in our towns and cities, but also it has met with the strengthening of ultra-right parties and expansion of their representation in parliaments of some European countries (for instance, recent success of the ultra-Rights during regional elections in Germany). But it is a one-way ticket to changing of European humane traditions and values. And in this case enforcement of EU immigration laws is only one of ways for restricting Muslim immigration. I fully agree with those heads of European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Malta), who, acting together through the EU, have proposed to work out complex of urgent collective measures for stopping of illegal immigration in Europe. We should set a reliable defense screen on the way of illegal immigrants who then in most cases become the basis of various extremist organizations on our territory.

Actually no, it is not a hate crime. No statute exists that would make that action on the part of the federal government a hate crime. You might wish it to be, but it isn't.

Maybe I missed the point of this thread. I thought it was about Muslim immigration issues in Europe, not about illegal immigration per se. Going after Muslims would certainly be a rational approach to problems related to Muslim immigration, no?
