Dealing with Spammers

Guys this is just to inform you to please only report one of the posts if you see a spammer. The reason being is we have the ability to delete ALL the posts by a spammer so it is only necessary to report one of the posts.

I know some of you may not know this, which is why I am explaining it here.

Again, this is not to discourage you from reporting, just wanted to let you know that you only need to do it once per spammer. Thank you again for reporting the spammer threads, we appreciate it. :)

Elrathin, if I had known that, I wouldn't have reported so many. I'm sorry. I'm glad to know that now. I really thought you had to report them all.
Thanks for that! Makes it easier on me, too, when you get post after post that's spam and you're chasing the spammer all over the boards to report his posts.

El's correct. We also have to take respond to each report in the staff section, so 10 reports mean 10 topics we have to reply to saying we took care of it.

As for killing spammers, they're different IP's. We've recently started pre-emptively banning people from certain regions as they have been nothing but spammers.
