I've been living in Latvia for all my life and I don't remember things like this to happen. Our industry magnates suggested extend the workweek to 60 hours!! Now we sure have got the longest workweek in EU and it gonna be even longer!? Then what was the reason to join the EU if we don't live European standards? French labor unions managed to get a 35-hour weekwork and what about us? It was long ago said that American type of liberalism is ruling in my country. Let crazy Americans work 24/7 without vacation, but not us! I don't want it be that way. I want to work to be living, not vise versa. Our prime-minister Gediminas Kirkilas said that "Lithuanians take too much rest", though our out-migration rate is sky-high and we experience manpower tightness and draw a laughable salary. Do they expect anything would change for the better after they extend the workweek? I doubt this! Fukc it! I will rather leave for France and get a job of a baggage-man than stay here and work to death. I know that's all thanks to Americans! They want to subdue us all the way and have us under they thumb! They will ruin our industry and agriculture and after that they will be able to do to us whatever they want! Possibly they figure out to turn Lithuania into a nuclear waste repository, or I don't have any other explanations.
