View Full Version : Hello

Milton Bradley

Well, I suppose I should introduce myself.

Many here will know me already from our time posting together in that other forum. For the rest, I shall provide some information about myself.

Single White male, libertarian, with a small "l", forty four years of age, never married, blue collar type, self taught guitarists, atheist, High School graduate, though I mainly survive on my degree earned on the tough streets of East Toledo. I live hard, and play hard, and I don't like to mince words, or make small talk. I'm a very complicated person, yet my philosophies are simple, and direct, as is my posting style.

My interets are wide, by any standard, as I like learning about nearly anything. I'm one of those people that find everything fascinating on some level.

I have huge issues with authority, authoritarians, hypocrites, and eliteists, as well as wealth redistribution concepts. I am also no fan of bipartisan politics, the two party lock on power, or the blatant disrespect those two parties have for our precious Constitutional protections.

I have been politically conscious since 1979, when I was awakened by an astute teacher, and I have been watching my disenfranchisement live on C-SPAN ever since.

I should probably also mention that I am Osborn F. Enready's older brother, ( 8 1/2 years ) and the primary person responsible for shaping his views, as I rescued him from a life of Liberalism early on.

I didn't ask him to take my word on faith, but to investigate my claims, and answers to his questions. ( I'm damned proud that he listened, and investigated things for himself, and came around to my position. )

I don't expect anybody here to take my words on faith either, but I offer up my opinons to be considered, and evaluated on their own merrit.

So you can probably judge whether we will get along, or not based on the information provided.

Welcome to DF, Milton! I remember you quite well from "that other forum" - great to see you here. I didn't know [till now] you were Osborn's brother - are you sure you want to admit to that? ;)

Thanks all.

I'm starting slow, but as many know, I'm often compelled to share. ( ...and share, and share, ...)

Hehehe, well, the cats out of the bag now. :dork:

I've admitted it before, so I suppose somebody was going to attempt to hold it against me eventually.

Or did he get his MD by beating his little sister in the game "Operation"?

I think you got the gist of it, preserva.

Milton, one libertarian to another...good to have you here brother!

I suppose Osborn has given you the lowdown on this forum.

Owned by an absentee and faraway mercantilist philanthropist (Sanjay), actively managed by a fanatical liberal (Alonzo), and gently watched over by a collection of the finest mods with the best diversity of political views on the WWW.

It's hard to get so far on the bad side of the staff that you get the serious whackdown...

Anyhow man, you were one of the members of V that I regretted leaving behind when I emigrated. Maybe you noticed.

That troll GHook has been bounced twice already from here.

No, my name is not really Milton Bradley, and, for the record, I hate baseball with a passion. I detest that game at every level.

I beat Osborn for any number of reasons. It doesn't take some board game to ignite the fire.

Thanks for the warm welcome Pat. Always enjoyable to be in good company, and I obviously consider you to be good company. ( Along with a few other favorites persoanlities that have joined the Democracy Forums. )

It was tough being left behind, but I had some business there that I felt needed finishing. ( Too bad the appeals to emotion won out, and that place has really suffered for it. )

Anyhow, Im here now, and back amongst the group I feel I actually belong in, the libertarians.

Feels good to read some of the more familiar names again.

Because baseball SUCKS!

Eh, what can I say, I just think as sports go, you would be hard pressed to find a more boring "sport".

Baseball is more like a science experiment than a sport in my opinion.

Amen! The last strike in '94 ruined baseball for me.

MB, I am ashamed. Hell of a place to question your patriotism.... in your introduction thread. I am an idiot. You are one of my top 5 favorite American Patriots. You love this country and the founding principles that make it great. You mourn when she veers off course and would do anything to set her aright.

Pardon the ignorant ramblings of an idiot.
I respect you, MB.... unfortunately my sense of humor doesnt look before it leaps.

Your friend, Dan G

Like I said, I knew what I was reading, as I'm sure you know where I'm at politically.

We have a long history at that other forum, and you should know my skin is too thick to be offended, even if that jab were sincere.

Relax darling, I still respect you.
