He has been demoted from Senior Staff to a normal user.Â*Â*There has been some issues with his fairness and moderator actions.Â*Â*I have given him access to the staff forums (hidden from regular members) so that he can still participate in staff discussions.Â*Â*
PAD is a friend of mine but these forums are important.Â*Â*The impartiality of the staff is also important.Â*Â*I have rules here and I expect members and especially staff to abide by them.Â*Â*While I do not wish to demote PAD I feel it's neccessary in order to maintain the fairness of the staff.
I still expects members to follow all site rules and guidelines.Â*Â*PAD will no longer be warning or banning other members.
Thank you for reading.

Sounds good, it didnt look good to have a moderator proudly using racial slurs like "mooslimbs."

I'd like to add this was a mutual decision.
I am not a PC person. I will never be a PC person. If that interfered with the growth of the site my ego doesn't demand that I have a title. I don't want to watch what toes I may step on all the time or worry about who I may or may not offend.
This was not a hostile action. To the contrary I was happy to do it. I'm much more comfortable without having to worry I'm the "image" that the site projects to users and visitors. Why? You don't put someone like Rush Limbaugh or James Carville up as the face of non-partisan organizations if you want that organization to be taken seriously as non-partisan.
I'm as partisan as they come.

Theres not worrying about who you may or may not offend and then there is going out of your way to offend them. I know two people who refused to post or even register here after seeing some of the racist remarks users have made.

Then in all due respect bobbylien how much of the net have they actually looked at?
I've seen every extreme on the web from stormfront, Act Up, DU, Free Republic, PETA and gad knows how many else.
In terms of those we're Disneyland.
Furthermore if you saw racist remarks of that were that extreme there's a report button on every single reply.

Sorry bout that,
1. But I feel some what cheated now that PAD is no longer a Site Administrator.
2. It was always great to know that PAD had the power to do sh!t here, ban, lock, edit, cool stuff to some nutjob.
3. Like having a bud with lots of power here.
4. I am not sure of if any one felt the wrath of PAD.
5. But I can see how being a Administrator, could limit your views at times.
6. And this could be kind of a drag for me, I'm sure.

Sorry bout that,
1. But sure, your like a bulldog too, always good to have a Site Owner sane with proper views about Politics.
2. You are a rarity Labrocca, not many Site Owners are Republicans, Nice!
3. I think PAD rather likes not being obliged to carry on civil debates, and get into the trenches with me on all these political points.
4. Sure its messy, but when the sh!t hits the fan, the men show up toÂ*Â*fling more sh!t, to out sh!t fling the competition.
5. After a while you just start flinging sh!t everywhere, like me! :)
Regards,
SirJamesofTexas
The difference between Labrocca and other Republican site owners is that he is serious when he demands there be no personal attacks between members. It's the only reason I am still here.
Slinging shit is one thing. Smearing it onto others is another. Some folks don't know the difference. Others don't care.

PAD is no longer a member here. This was a decision he made and I have enforced with a ban. Let's hope he just goes elsewhere and cease bothering us as he claims.

Sorry bout that,
1. But I think by PittsburghAfterDark's departure is bad for DF.
2. It wasn't right to remove him from the mod team members list, it would seem.
3. PAD is a solid person on getting news out.
4. With great opinions and stories he brought here.
5. I for one will miss him/her, what a fantastic mind.

PAD was unable to work with the mod staff nor to act objectively in his duties. After repeated discussions with him on this regard he still didn't change. Yesterday I finally removed him altogether from staff and admin. He made the decision to leave. Moderators are staff here to assist in maintaining the site rules not to push their own political agenda with their powers. PAD could not understand that. Occassionally a mod will err in their duties and the staff works together to find a fair solution. PAD didn't do that either.
He would have a been a welcome member here but it was his decision to leave simply because he didn't have any power. I find that to be a rather poor reason for leaving. Of course he will express this story differently but this is my version. I wish him luck though in whatever else he does. I will miss him as well.
btw CWN...It's not bad for DF...I will work on equalizing the mod staff with another righty...but one that can be fair in the mod duties.

I'm sorry this happened and apologise for any role I played in this.
I want everyone, including PAD, to know that I don't think he's a bad guy.Â*Â*I wish him well, wherever he is.
In addition, Labrocca has shown himself to be the most honest and fair site owner I've come across, liberal or conservative.Â*Â*
Kudos!

Sorry bout that,
1. But Labrocca, I think you over stepped the line when you changed PAD's name to IraqBeforeDAy.
2. Please correct this bud.
3. You know you did it in spite.
4. And that is below you.
5. Your better than that bud.
6. Thanks in advance bud.
7. PAD was getting under your skin, but don't allow this payback to stand, its not right.

If you have a better suggestion for his name please let me know. I really don't care. I just wanted a name that others here would recognize. Spite is PAD deleting 1500 posts from the site because I removed him from staff.
I don't consider his name change "payback". He doesn't want to associate here anymore so it's appropriate his name be changed. Normally before I leave a forums I change my name so search engines won't come up with "labrocca" for that site. I changed his name actually out of respect for that request not because I give a shit.

Sorry bout that,
1. Okay man, thought it was for some petty reason.
2. But if I ever get banned from here, do not change my name.
3. I won't think of it as a favor.
4. I transfer my vast knowledge through out the Internet.
5. And one day, this may be all thats left, at least my words.
6. Which could be referred to for Centuries.
7. There well may be a course in colleges some day called *CHESSWARSNOW*.

I wouldn't have changed his name except he didn't want to be associated with us anymore. I can understand that as I have done that myself in the past. Normally a name change isn't the procedure. We simply ban and leave the account as-is in case the status of the member changes. PAD would be welcomed back as a regular member if he came to his senses. He really pissed me off but I am not one to hold a grudge...I have better things to do. Same really goes for any banned member.
7. There well may be a course in colleges some day called *CHESSWARSNOW*.
Nope. Too easy. I won't touch it.
