Hi, I joined just today. I was transformed into a political activist by my experiences working for the Seattle School District, which opened my eyes to some shocking realities.
Where I fall on the political spectrum is a little hard to say. Most people would describe me as either a liberal or a left-wing radical. However, I've come to despise the term liberal as loosely synonymous with apathetic and spineless. I feel a much closer connection to the leftists who are making waves in Latin America.
Loosely speaking, one might call me a socialist. I believe in a mixed economy, combining capitalism and socialism, replacing rampant corruption with social justice.
However, I was born and raised in rural South Dakota, so I understand right-wingers to some extent. I even support a few right-wing issues.
I'm currently running a very unorthodox campaign for public office and am even attempting to create a new political party. I'm a major critic of George W. Bush (www.jail4bush.org) and Bill Gates (www.billysoft.org).
I look forward to some interesting discussions here.
