SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A California jury has convicted a man prosecutors say is one of the nation's worst child molesters.

Dean Schwartzmiller was convicted in San Jose of 11 felony counts of child molestation, involving two 12-year-old boys. He faces up to life in prison. He was also convicted of misdemeanor child pornography possession.

Prosecutors say the 64-year-old Schwartzmiller has at least three previous molestation convictions and a dozen arrests stretching over three decades.

Prosecutors showed jurors a 456-page memoir and 1,500 notebook pages with headings such as: "best of the best, 13 and under."

They also presented a map that listed an estimated 100 accusers in eight states, plus Mexico and Brazil, going back to 1969.

Jurors took about four hours to reach a verdict.

When will our justice system learn that releasing these freaks only leads to terrible things? He was convicted *at least* three times and they let him back out to ruin more innocent lives. If ever there is someone deserving of the death penalty.. PLEASE give it to this man.
I dream of a day when we put our children ahead of repeat child molesters. Get them off the streets.. please.

I don't understand why he was allowed out the second and third time.

Sometimes the legal system in this country baffles me.

This is why I support the three strikes law.......but in this case, one strike!

Yeah Lily, I agree.

There is no coming back to this side of the fence once you've crossed over into sexually exploiting children. The recitivism rates show no helping these people and their victims number in the dozens or hundreds.

It's not like a murder of passion where you find your husband/wife in bed with someone else, a robbery that goes wrong, a rape because you're a drunken/drugged idiot where there's some help that can be had. Child molestation is so deliberate and so deceitful and contemptable as to render a perp unrecoverable as a normal human being.

You hit the nail right on the head with this one. There are dozens of victims, before the scum actually gets caught.

In the early 90's I was on a jury during a sexual molestation case. The guy had admitted to the abuse, sodomy and rape of his own children- five counts. I wouldn't go into detail even if I could here. Too sick.
Well, we gave him five 99 year sentences. The DA explained to us that it was useless to try and keep this guy in the pen forever. Because of sentencing laws and overcrowding court rulings, etc., etc., he would be out in EIGHT years.

The DA was wrong, he was out in SEVEN.

After the first conviction he should have been monitored on a regular basis. Brought in for lie-detector tests, not allowed to travel outside the state without permission, and so forth. Basically given parole for life. The second they F up...back to jail.

This is the one thing I really agree with O'Reilly on.. his coverage of these creeps and the judges who release them really does open your eyes. I think one molestation conviction should get you a min of 5 years in prison and monitoring for that persons entire life. I don't think there are any politicians who take this seriously enough.

I watched that last night too, bobbylien. Did a google search to post the article about the man, but couldn't find anything.

I can't believe his lawyer wanted him to get 90 days and 10 years probabation for over 10,000 pictures of children, most of them being tortured!

When the lawyer started to say, well they were in a different country, I thought O'Reily was going to jump out of his seat and stangle him!

Get caught with a couple ounces of weed and it's 5 years...get caught molesting a 10 year old and you get "mental help"? Totally backward ass crap.

I haven't watched him for a few weeks now but I remember many times where he has brought this stuff up. I didn't see the show last night.
