Can this get much worse? Now it seems like every country in the middle east is against us. I don't really think we will be able to win over there.

All the countries that were against us before are still against us. There is little change in that regard. They hated us before...big deal.

every country has always hated the US because we are the best. they just werent as vocal about it. who cares if the middle east hates us, let them. I dont think things have gotten worse than they were in the past.

Exactly. Because the US supported the existance of Israel as a nation, provided financial and military aid (tanks, aircraft, artillery, etc.), the Arab nations have always condemned the US. Then there the Muslim extremists who hate everything to do with the West, not just the US, and are going to continue to attack what they consider valid targets everywhere regardless of whatever course of action the US might take. We tried conciliation and that was rejected; we tried isolation and that only encouraged increased attacks, both in number and in violence; now it's time for retaliation. It may not be the answer -- I'm not sure there is an answer -- but it is a lot more satisfying than sucking up or just standing there and taking it.
