Just thought I'd post this to show the hypocricy among some liberals with regards to the recent Obama assasination joke:

I forgot how incredibly horrendous Robin Williams' stand-up act is.

I can see that no one cared about him making fun of Bush, but where was the outcry for him making fun of Stevie Wonder.... and by extension, blind people in general? :ponder:

He's a comedian, Alan [and a bad one]...Why take him seriously enough for 'outcry'?

Well I'm not suggesting anyone should. But remember the dust up over the guy who played Frazer's comments to a heckler? Sometimes even bad comedians cause a stir.

I don't think I know who you're referring to, Alan, can you jog my memory?

Not sure what he's referring to either, but I actually like Robin Williams stand up act.

I've never seen an act, but I thought the bit you posted was great.

If what Alan is talking about is what I'm thinking of, it was the guy who played Kramer. Different character, different show, but similar name, so I can see the possiblity of a mistake. Am I right?

If he was talking about Kramer I really didn't care about that either. I don't lose sleep over people what people whom I don't take seriously say.

The guy who played Kramer, Richards I think his name is, was doing a standup routine somewhere and some black guys were heckling him. He lost it and went off on them and used the N word. Got caught on someone's cell phone and he had to do the whole mea culpa routine on the talk shows for weeks afterward. Basically he got the Imus treatment only a bit worse.

Seems like this was last summer or something.

Oh right, Michael Richards. Yeah, as I said, I saw that on TV and shrugged. I really don't care if the guy who played Kramer says the N-word, I don't take him seriously enough to be outraged. I'll leave idiots like Kramer with idiots like Al Sharpton, they deserve each other.

I'm still trying to figure out what "making fun of someone choking on a pretzel" has to do with "staying in the race on the hope your opponent will be assassinated".....and what the hypocricy is between the two.....

Well, no one ever said the second one.

Funny video - Funny man

He is a good comedian.

I got hooked on Robin Williams back when Mork and Mindy came out..which was shortly after his first tv appearance ever.
If I'm correct that was Happy Days...

If you send enough bags to Crawford or the WH, one of them is bound to make it through. Don't use Scott McClellan as a return address or reference though.
